Hey there, I'm Lani! I'm a middle school math teacher who loves to travel and talk about teaching. On this channel, I vlog my travels and make teaching reflection and advice videos for new, young teachers. I'm passionate about financial literacy and hiking.
This school year, I'm in my 6th year of teaching. I am a former Teach for America teacher. I have 2 years of experience teaching special education 6th-8th grade Math in Oklahoma, two years teaching 7th grade Math, and two years with 7th Grade Pre-AP Math in Texas. I've traveled to 20 countries and 21 US states. I hope to grow that list and to document my travels along the way.
I would love to hear from you so please comment feedback, what videos you would like to see, or questions. Thanks for subscribing and clicking the notification button. :) 💕
@@chrismackeown1198 Task 3 has to be a video of you interacting with your colleagues. One 5-minute segment from Textbox 3.2.2 (Working with the Collaborative Team During Planning) or Textbox 3.3.1 (Working with the Team During Implementation) as well as one 10-minute reflective segment from Textbox 3.4.1 (Self reflection and feedback).
Few things, please don’t refer yourself as desi, desi is word coined by indians from India and NOT from Pakistan. You are a Pakistani. 2ndly, yoga is part of hindu religion, you are a muslim. Yoga is totally opposite of Islam so go fnd something common between pakistani and fillipino……… leave desi, yoga for indians!
☯️ Thanks for watching and for letting us use your camera and mikes! I enjoyed hearing Alavia’s story and her hopes for the Filipino and Pakistani communities in DFW
During Covid and due to teacher shortages, a lot of districts have taken in teachers who don’t have a traditional teaching license. They are usually given a year long probationary license. I know in my district they have a program for those with work experience and their college degree in another industry to transfer that towards their teaching credentials.
The PASL is a beast that I tackled by working on it in small chunks at a time. The whole task can be overwhelming but maximizing your work style will get you through it. Good luck!
How many years do they think this area was settled? They have physical remains from back near 12,000 years so this could have gone through burials, rebuild cycles like ancient cities in Eastern Turkey. Back when the planet was way more empty of us than now.
I’m not sure but I would love to find out. I’ve seen documentaries of Chaco Canyon and other cliff dwellings in northern New Mexico if these people were related or at least involved in trade. They say that those people were connected in trade to the Aztecs in Mexico. Have you been to Mesa Verde?
@@kimhorton6109 I hope you enjoy your trip! I briefly visited Istanbul but I’m going to have to go back to Turkey to check out the cliff dwellings in Cappadocia 🇹🇷
Thank you for sharing your experience. I also hiked with Soy Tours and I agree, they are awesome and highly recommend them. You mentioned your bag was 40 lbs? Yikes, what did you carry? I dont think my bag weighed more than 10 lbs.
I’m glad you had a great experience with Soy Tours. Hiking Acatenango is such an amazing feat 🌋 I carried a lot of extra clothes to layer because I get cold easily. I think I also had camera stuff as well. Good for you for packing smart.
I have the opposite experience. I get mistaken for being Hispanic and specifically Mexican in the States, when I’m in Mexico, or when I’m traveling in general. I do believe our peoples have common ancestors which could explain the similarities in how we look. Being multilingual is an asset so all the power to you. 👏🏼 Mandarin is a difficult language to learn but it’s useful to know.
Hey Taylor, what are the behaviors you are struggling with and what is your grade level? I’ve used whole class based incentives and a reward system. If I’m struggling with a whole class, I will come up with three things I want the class to work on and introduce it to them. For example, not interrupting me when I’m talking or walking around the classroom unprompted. They all have to adhere to the three things for them to earn a point. At the end of every class, I would ask them if they think they deserve a point. After 5 points they are able to get a whole class incentive that they decided on. After 10 points they earn a bigger class incentive.
Thank You for You went to visit Guatemala and all the trees there are very green because the earth is wet for the rain and the things in Guatemala is beautifil and the foods are very delicious
Guatemala is one of my favorite countries I’ve visited. 🇬🇹 Growing up I had a close Guatemalan friend and her family took me in like their own. The people are so friendly and the country itself is so naturally beautiful.
What a great attitude that Aline has! Her diversity is her strength! Being of more than one culture is definitely an advantage. Canada is a great place to put into practice all of one's language skills. By the way, if she wants to tutor me a little bit in Cantonese, please let me know.
