You never want to rub mud on leather then brush it off because all those granules of dirt do is clogged the pores and absorbs the moisture that the leather needs it also prevents the leather from properly breathing
Thank you for helping us out! Bought that ball because of you! You are the only one with all these great basketball buying videos. Keep up the great work!
Brooo! Been a minute, but i bought a spalding tf no.M ball awhile back AND a Stranger Things tf 100. I know someone mentioned the tf100 lost air, but both of mine have been good....except I screwed up. I love ❤️ practicing half court shots. Love it. Turns out thats a super dumb thing to do with expensive leather basketballs.. Long story, valves are blown! Fml. So here I am. Thanks for the vid man.
I have a TF-1000 Precision and I felt similar to how you do about the Legacy. I can confirm it feels 10x better after a month or two of consistent use. It really breaks up the panels and gives a softer feeling akin to an Evolution out the box. That's what a lot of people don't understand about basketballs. They buy the Evolution because they think it's the best feeling one out the box. Yet after they play with it for awhile, it turns from an okay feeling ball into feeling like a wet sponge. It becomes way too soft to the point where a broken in Evolution almost feels like a nerf covered ball. The harder balls like Tf-1000, The Rock, leather balls, etc is that sure they don't feel as nice right out the box but once they are broke in the sweet spot is even better and longer lasting. That's my opinion after 20 some odd years of hooping. Evolution isn't bad don't get me wrong, it's just not the greatest ball in the world like every gym in America will make you think.
bro thanks very nice and true video!! love it my basketball lost grip after dribbling and shooting crazy now it is really great and has great grip!!!! thx for the video!!!!!!
I have that exact same tool. You make it look so easy popping the valve out. I had a hell of a time getting mine out and had to use a lot of force, but I finally got it. shoving the new one in was a lot easier for me than getting the old one out.
It did actually get a little softer after a few days. The leather conditioner also helps the full leather basketball from cracking and stay in good shape.
Would like to see you go hunting / thrifting for basketballs in new, almost new or fixable (with leather cream , tlc etc) condition . That’d be fun to watch
