So I've decided to change my channel name. It reflects me better.
Some facts about me and my values: I am Ukrainian but I've lived in America for half of my life, so I suppose Ukrainian-American is a better description. I was raised in a Jehovah's Witness household but I never got baptized. I am an atheist. I love Sumerian mythology. Highly respect the cult of the goddess Inanna. I looooove history. My favorite historical character is Hypatia of Alexandria. I also love Ukrainian history and nothing infuriates me more than Russians trying to appropriate it and deny my culture and language.
If you have the Russian swastika in your comments or your profile picture remove yourself from my channel before I remove you myself.
Had Mary found love, someone who truly cared for her... She could have been a great Queen restoring the catholic faith in England. She was and still is wrongfully called Bloody Mary... Such a tragic life.
Considering the point of the whole film was about the silencing of women and the effect that's had on women and society as a whole ... why was the dialogue overwhelmed by such LOUD MUSIC for almost half of this film? Couldn't hear a bloody word of it! It might have been an incredible film ... WITHOUT THE MUSIC.
Mary and Elizabeth thought they were enemies but actually, they were two girls who had both lost their mother, right to the throne and the love of their father when they were young, they had each other,i was glad that in the tudors they showed that Elizabeth and Mary had a good relationship than to portay them as enemies.
Even though he wasn’t very nice to any of his daughters, mostly Mary but not to be rude. I love that he learns to love and respect them with all his heart as he did with his son Edward. I love a character development💚
For those hungry for more, There's the I,Claudius series which starts in the reign of Augustus, also Colleen McCullough's 'Masters of Rome' series of books and Allan Massie's books 'Augustus' and 'Tiberius'. All good but you need stamina to read Colleen McCullough's series. I read hers in waiting rooms while having cancer treatment which took 10 months. They really carried me through it.
Emepror Frederick was right about the things he said to Maximilian but it took a bigger effect at the time of the Spanish Habsburgs, when the Empire was expanding from the Americas, Philippines, Pacific, and Africa. Sometimes, the decision you make will affect the many.
Hablando de los Judíos , no los gusta pero ya entenderemos , con lo de Italia lo de Alemania Pompeya , solo pongamos las cosas en su lugar y ya veremos . Su Majestades de Legiones y una parte especial para el la Monarquía Imperial .
I always found it so unfair that she was deemed as fanatic and nick-named "Bloody Mary" when in reality persecutions and executions flew both ways in many parts of the world, but the propaganda machine work very well from Elizabeth's reign and then on. Henry did nothing but divide his kingdom in many many ways.
Octavian _really_ should have considered what would happen past the horizon of his own death. He rebuilt Rome, yes, but anyone else at the controls and the empire would shatter again. And it did.

Yank here . Lifelong Tudor fan and British Invasion rocknroll fan from the Beatles to Bowie . As I tell people , I think I was conceived and born in the wrong part of the world. Anyway I read that Christina of Milan was 16 years old when she said this . I always tell Conservatards over here that go ape when hearing about teenagers having sex, is that the modern day American teenager , with all the trappings, is a creation of the 20th Century
Poor Catherine. I am just so glad that Charles didn't do to her what king henry viii did to his Catherine when she couldn't give him a son. I dont know if he really loved her because kings didn't marry for love back then but in my honest opinion there must have been some feeling of warmth for her otherwise he would have totally discarded her.
Most of them were extremely too young when they married and wanted to make a difference but their husbands where cheaters, insane or power hungry and most of the time all 3 and gave birth to same insanity. But Cathrine de Medici who technically was the last queen of the Valois looked like a wicked witch. Louis the 16th of Bourbon was the only king that didn't want to be all 3. Then it all fell down.
She was born as a princess, but she could not spend most of her life as one. Her father did every evil he could to her. She lost her mother, her titles were taken away, she was declared illegitimate, they asked her to work as a maid to her younger sister... She thought everything would be okay when she became queen, but it didn't happen. She married a manipulative and indifferent husband and experienced two ectopic pregnancies. She was ridiculed for her faith and caused thousands of people to die because of it. Henry was a monster. He turned Mary into a one. Especially taking her away from her mother was the cruelest thing. Henry did not deserve his children or his wives.
Багун. Домогаров великолепный актер. Хорош в положительных ролях и в поле злодеях. Марш турецкого, с этого сериала узнала великолепно актера, а затем Бандитский Петербург ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am not sure but i believe that the reason Mark Anthony chose Egypt was not because of Cleopatra but because Egypt was the granary of Rome supplying it with food. So it was seen by him as a strategic move.
Also Caesar before died planed to a large campaign against Partia (even dispatch some legions to this region).Remember he said Egypt and the "estearn provinces".
It was a great mistake not to recasting to the role of the Cardinal. The second and the third season would be incredible with him and Rochefort as the main villains. The second season was good, but the third was meh.
