Not to be ever played with, always respected, Until you've been up next to these magnificant buffalo, you don't get the sheer size of them. I've seen buffalo there looked half the size of an elephant in size, and they'll do the same thing elephants do. Press you to the ground with a head 6 feet long, and then tap dance you into hamburger. And they are lightning quick when they've had enough. When I was there, and herd of 1600 came through the forest and treed 2 rangers observing them. Then laid at the tree, and kept looking up at them. The Rangers got stuck there for the entire night, lol, until the herd woke up in the morning and headed to pasture to feed. It was like, the Buffalo knew they were there,c'mon Ranger, come on down and play with us,dare you... Made it a point to chill thete for that very reason, they're smart as hell, more than any cow for sure, lol
There's nothing deceptive about it unless you're really dumb. People can do 20+ mph and they're far more muscular and have twice as many legs. Your only chance is dodging, not outrunning.
I think lots of tourists don't see them as a threat because these magnificent creatures are herbivores...they won't eat you, but they might charge! Keep your distance, people! 🙄 Even your cars won't protect you, js
You may not know this but there are no free range buffalo in North America. The animals you are looking at are Bison. Did you know that a large male Bison can overturn a car?
There are bison on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and a Ranger there gave me some very sage advice about them: Bison tail in the air, tourists beware. It's always a good idea not to harass the largest animal on a continent that's well known for having a very short and very violent temper...
They were smart to stay in their cars but I wonder if they fully understand that these bison are big enough and strong enough that they could totally mangle that car if they chose to do so. They also could very easily turn your car over. I would be giving these guys a LOT of room. These are not Disney cartoon animals. They are wild beasts and they are considered WILD for a reason.
Great video with only natural sounds and it looks like you enjoyed the surroundment by Yellowstone Bison.....thank you for using common sense .....a third person has just been gored by a bison in the park this season by simply getting too close ...I just want to say thanks for a job well done.
They showed more wisdom than the American tourists by getting in the car. This protects the people and the Buffalo. If you fell the need to be up close, use a telephoto lens. Great video.
Wolves probably were in the area, when I went to Yellowstone my main goal was to see wolves so we got a wolf tour guide who brought us right through were you were, before that I had thought I had a good eye for wildlife but this guide that we were with was exceptional! Were I was looking i could see nothing that would indicate a wolf to me, but then the guide spotted one and showed us through the scope, he was quite far off, basically what I’m trying to say is there were probably some in the valley when you were there and you might not have seen them because they are so hard to spot especially in all that sage brush
I really enjoyed the video of you and the young woman both respectful of the bison and using good old common sense, getting into your auto, for your safety, wish we had more people like you as visitors to the Yellow stone park. Thank you both you are great for the park visitors.
These people are all fools for being that close to these bison !!!!!! If a bison charged the car....they would have no chance to get in. Besides that the bison could with ease .flip the car over...... !!!!!!!
Not very smart to open the sunroof in my opinion. Those beasts are huge and if he decided to charge that car he could injure anyone in the sunroof or turn the car over. Best to stay inside with everything shut when they are that close. They're unpredictable and can be violent.
#+?!!##@ Yeah Buffalo 🦬🦬🦬 , give them room or you could be F---ked,. Yeah they are big, not Dumb but also they are unpredictable as Hell sometimes? They are not Pets too pet either.
If that bison charged ( at 2:37 ) theres no way in hell she would have been able to get in the car !!!!!! 100 yards 5 seconds. She wasnt even watching the bison most of the time ......... Good luck ! A small car is a toy for a bison. They can take the doors off....flip the car over ....with ease ! Stay away from them !
Ive seen asian people go up to a black bear with his small child thinking they could pet it. Slammed my brakes and yelled get back. They did survive, but f me .
@@maryrichards157 I think you should check your data, from what I have seen in posted videos it is usually Asian tourists or white tourists from other countries and not Americans.
@@rayfreeman2305 I understand you might get that from the vids that are posted, but I'm going off of info from living in Wyoming and working for the USFS. Word gets around. A lot of it is folks from more highly populated areas who aren't used to being around large wildlife. Likewise, folks who've spent most of their lives in the wide open don't generally fare too well in the big cities. It's a trade-off.
