For people confused about the price just know that food in japan is insanely cheap compared to other first world countries. Something like a fast food meal will be half as much as in the usa. Also the meat sells for premium overseas and has to be shipped/taxed for export and import.

The best wagyu in the world is in Hokkaido. Like you eat in the resteraunt which is located in their farm. It’s quite expensive but worth it cause it doesn’t taste like the other wagyu.
