$129.00 Youkon 48 inch workbench from Harbor Freight. Initial unboxing, assembly and impressions. 

How sturdy is it when you use the vice? Any wobble at all or is it solid? Thinking of getting this bench mainly for cleaning and smithing guns.

@@ghostblack9209 Mine are solid but they are braced against a wall, if it was in the middle of a room you might knock a few things off the top shelf torquing around on the vice. Don’t use any power tools to put it together, just hand tools, some locktite and elbow grease to ensure it stays solid. There are approx 200 pan head bolts though so be warned. I recommend.

@@lindajohnson3245 yes, I personally could put it together. It will probably take about 2 hours to get it together.

The workbench feels sturdy enough for that, you may want to cut a piece of thicker plywood for the top, but the factory on may be just fine.

I still have it and it is holding up very well. I'm not very rough in it, and use it like a work table of sorts. I try not to be beating on things on top of it as that would probably be a bit rough on it. When I bought it my intent was to have a place I could sit down and work on tasks like rebuilding a carburetor, or to solder/repair wiring, and it is excellent for that, or a place to lay tools and lay parts/nuts and bolts out when I'm working on something in the garage. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for the same type of use. I have not mounted a vice to it so I can't say how it would hold up under those conditions, but for $129 I'm not complaining a bit. Thank you all for watching.

You could. It comes with the pegboard, but you could cut a piece of plywood instead.

I bought one based on your review ! I have not attached the pegboard and countertops yet... Tips needed to make sure it is level and especially square??
