It's just kind of a double edged sword though. I'm honestly not sure which is "right" and which is "wrong", but both have pros and cons. If you play it your way then yeah you won't miss those hands, but those hands also won't happen very often and seeing every flop will just make you blind out faster. On the contrary, folding those hands will let you survive the blinds longer while you wait for stronger preflop hands, but you will miss those hands like you mentioned.
