As a Vietnamese, I can understand why he only charge $ 2 for one massage - First: he does not pay rent (this is a great advantage because the rent in Vietnam is quite expensive) - Second: his clients are often hard laborers with low incomes (truck drivers, motorbike drivers, construction workers) they really need massages to relax muscles and relieve stress after a tiring working day but the things it they cannot pay more for a massage, if he raises the price, he will not have customers. - Thirdly: in Vietnam, we have not spread the tip culture. If you give him with sincerity, maybe he will accept it, but if you give more money without saying anything, he will surely return.
임한량 YHR TV he charges 2 dollar for 15 minute massage so in an hour he can make 8 dollars which is more then what some minimum wage workers make in the US. Converted over its probably worth more too
@@Yarmox no dude. 4 customers/hour? Did you think there is a long line of customers waiting for him or something? Also he can't massage 4-5 people continuously without rest. And he can only work several hours a day, not in the morning/noon/ after midnight, etc.
@@LeKhang98 Yes, but he does not have to pay the rent & utilities for his store (since he has none) and he also does not pay taxes (though he is in the gray area borthering on illegal tax evasion). Many similar self-employed enterpreneurs in 3rd world countries have about the same revenue as him, but they also have to pay so many bills and taxes that by the end of the month they actually lose money.
This guy has the healthiest knees a person could ever hope to have. It's crazy to me how he's able to go from standing to sitting and back to standing without ever using his hands or losing his balance. Incredible.

I always thought this was the only guy that does offer the street massage until I just found out recently that there are like dozens of them and with very similar massage style to him. I do hope they're all getting by because the pandemic is now making it harder for them to work.

It's called a distraction; you can train your brain to basically do the same thing. I divide my thoughts into two parts, conscious and subconscious. My subconscious often is overthinking. So I give it something to do while my conscious wants to sleep. So I use a digital clock for this, stare at the clock and say out loud to yourself the current time, then say the time you want to wake up. You want to take deep breaths while you do this, about 3-5 times in and out with your breathing very slowly filling your lungs completely and then letting it out, keep repeating the time "It is 9:00pm and I want to wake up at 6:15am" I fall asleep within 10 min or so and I wake up within 5min of the time I requested from myself. Been doing this for about 15 years. I wish you sleep well my friend.
Absolutely ....when I was small I used to go to sleep in the middle of parties my father and mother would take me to because I could not be left alone at home...sleep in the middle of all the gay noise knowing that I was safe with my parents around. I still like that oasis feeling.

I'm Brazilian, for a long time I lived in a city that bordered another country (Paraguay) I remember when my family and I would drive there, sounds like these would make me fall asleep. When I travel to the East, I always try to get my massages from the poor to help them. I respect these type of people because they don't beg but work for it! I also give extra tip to show respect for what they do for a living and their family
