For $2, you get what you would get for $100+ at some spa, not gonna lie. Take out the face and head rubs and i would be there WEEKLY. I hope one day he is given a true job in a real spa, instead of giving massages on the side of some highway. Bless this man.

If any foreigners want to try this massage, then you should have a Vietnamese friend to go with. I mean this place is in distreet 12, its like outside of HCMC, it safe but not enough cause this area is surrounded by factories, containers, truck parking lot,...... its a very chaos place. A vietnamese friend will help you with the communicate and watch out your pocket cause you could get scam not by the massage man but by the robbery who pass by. Sorry my english is not good enough hope you can understand what im saying clearly.
I admire the young man giving the massage. He's doing honest labor. He could be stealing or other things. Perhaps even begging, but he's using his 2 good hands to provide a comforting service at a decent price. He's making money using the resources he has. Maybe later he will be able to get somewhere safer to continue his services. I give you 5 stars for working hard. Hard , honest work pays off. 😉

Some facts for those who have not been to Vietnam: - Average minimum wage is around $1.25/hour as of my writing this. Starbucks employees, H&M retail employees, 7-11 cashiers all make this much. So $2 per 15-minute massage is well above the income level when you can potentially get 2-3 massages in per hour and work on your own terms. - Working next to the highway is daily life in Vietnam. There are few traffic laws and yes, being on the road behind the wheel of a vehicle or alongside it as a pedestrian is indeed dangerous compared to other countries, but its just a reality of life. These same highways pass through small towns and neighborhoods in some areas. So it is not uncommon to see school children and elderly folks crossing the highway everyday. Crosswalks and highway lanes are unseen except for in tourist areas. - Why get a street massage? Spas are typically outside the price range of some folks. Your average private spa will run anywhere from $10 at a local establishment to $70+ at hotel spas that cater to travelers. Spending a day’s wages at a local spa or a week’s worth of income at a premium spa are simply beyond the reach of middle class residents in VN.
Despite being 3 feet away from your death and the constant pointless honking as well as the super loud trucks and bikes this seems quite relaxing and worth it
I lived in Vietnam as a kid and I can assure you, the constant sound of traffic, bikes, and honkings aren't annoying at all. This may be weird.. but they're soothing and relaxing in a way. Vietnam is a very humid country, but during this time it becomes cooler... All I gotta say is, the top-notch quality massage + weather + traffic is like the best thing in the world.
@@TheSpecter92 in asian countries especially south east asia most people especially those from low/middle families have at least little knowledge about traditional medicine and they grow up consuming herbal or traditional medicine not only because its cheaper but sometimes its proven more effective. Its kind of upsetting that people are making jokes about this. You see, don’t take this as a joke, but most people in Vietnam are actually poor. So they find ways they can make money, from as little to $2. It can be difficult to find a job in this kind of status, but this man used the tools and equipment he had, to find a way to make money. I live in the States, but I visit Vietnam every 2 years to see my family, and most of the time when we walk down the streets, seeing things like this is pretty normal. If you were in the condition the massager was, you’d probably do something like this too, to keep your family and life stable. *Thank you, I’ll go.*

Does anyone else find the sound of traffic driving by very relaxing? It reminds me of when I was younger, taking long car rides with my parents, and just watching the cars drive by while listening to the sounds of the road. Except for the car horns, haha I hate those! 🤮😷
The lady I go to for massages only charges $8. When I go to pay, I use a 20, and when she gives me my change I put all of it in the tip jar xD these people are magical

2 dollars is roughly equivalent to 46 is Vietnam currency so you would basically give him 2,300. Not to mention 46 dollars is enough to buy a full meal, so you hella overpaid

I've been seeing tremendous amounts of videos recently, starring this particular Massage/Masseuse lately. It must be a very unique experience, to get this massage by such a busy Highway, where it almost seems like a custom, to sound your horn, every now and then, there. -And yet... the part that caught my attention the most, with this particular video, is that "The Jetsons" scooter motor "popping" sound around 13:43 passing by, almost like a Cartoon sound effect. ━⩊━
