Trying what should be the cheapest Japanese Omakase course we have ever encountered Hotaru Omakase Address: 899 (ในโครงการ The season mall, Phahonyothin Rd, แขวงพญาไท Phaya Thai, Bangkok 10400, Thailand
Kudos to the assistant chef...given his demeanor, I presume he's still learning (which is why he's the assistant and not the Chef himself), but he did his best.
It's the Thai manner. To apologize beforehand for something that one's have no confidence in (in this case, English skill) before some mistake happens, as to ask the person you're interacting with for an understanding and leniency. It's the reason why most Thais, when speaking on Online discourse will always apologize in the comment along the line of "sorry for any bad English" etc.
@@Im0utlaw It was great experience, I hope you enjoy yours, as well. For mine, I mentioned how much I like unagi (freshwater eel), and the chef included three different presentations of it.
@@JuhBertao the tattoos on his hands are some of the symbols of a hairstylist. Scissors and such. I’m not saying because he has tattoos on his hands makes him a hairstylist.
@@JuhBertaohis tattoos look like a pair of scissors, a barbershop pole, an electric razor, and one other I can’t make out fully, but appears to be a comb. If that doesn’t scream barber to you I don’t know what to say
Did Chef Beer say he didn't speak English very well at the beginning? If so, he's either very humble about his language skills or have memorized an entire script for this event in a language he doesn't speak. In both cases, I think he deserves praise for doing such a good job at presenting everything in English. You two are making me really consider Thailand as a possible vacation spot in the future. Lovely hotels, affordable omakase, fresh seafood markets, lots of interesting street foods? What's not to love?
I have heard that, if you’re coming from the west/global north the main things to be aware of in Thailand and some SEA countries are safety matters- fire escapes/extinguishers, unsafe conditions in some places (jagged railing that could cut you without any cautionary signs, broken stairs, rough sidewalks) and traffic. This is anecdotal on my part but my understanding is scooters can be very dangerous especially when mixed with large vehicle traffic. If I recall correctly (I think) there are not many restrictions on scooter motor power so some folks go quite a bit faster than is safe and are injured. Safety seems to be one of the only downsides I have heard of!
@@MilahMeiaI don't think so, actually. There's this RU-vidr I watch named Kyutie who reads stories on her channel. The OP in one of the stories treated herself to a $400 dollar omakase experience after it turned out that the guy she was going to go on a date with just wanted to use her as a meal ticket.
How old is that assistant chef. He looks so young and yet so skilled at helping out with the meals. I can't wait til he blossoms into his own and opens his own restaurant.
@@sandramays795 I am! I'm a balloon artist & those are 3D printed balloon dogs in red & blue. There are three crochet mice/dogs on the top shelf, far right as well. 😂😂😂😂
I want unlimited dancing bacon videos so I can watch them for my entire life ..Best Channel Ever ....most satisfying content ...I can never gonna stop watching your videos .....❤❤❤
What a wonderful ending! I found the background music more to my taste in a Restaurant, not-over the top. Considering adding Thailand to the visit to Japan in 2026.
Dancing bacons, just to let you know someone took your Nintendo land video and used it as the background for aitah short. You can see one of you with the popcorn star.
I did this dining experience it was very good,I'm looking forward going back. Its cheap the food in Thailand 🇹🇭 delicious freshly prepared in front of you. Great thumbnail dancing bacon's 🥓 I hope you enjoyed the experience ❤❤❤
I mean okay...the experience itself is worth way more than $20 USD...the food is just an amazing addition. If this was a first date meal you'd be in like flynn...
Hey Gareth, Local to you. Love your videos. Please don't explain. Furness can be a sess pit sometimes. It's bonus of being surrounded on 3 sides by sea, is also it's negative as it's very insular & it loves to hate on success. Keep it up....& review industry kitchen, as it's consistantly awesome!
Some really creative and memorable presentations, here, and ONLY $21 USD?! Sign me up! I could tell that Mrs. Bacons was even happier than usual in this one.
Stumbled on to this video looking for sushi in Bangkok. I can confirm for $20-85usd .. this has to be one of the best omakase I have experienced. Kind of out of the way if you are a tourist to also avoid trying to get there during rush hour
You can really see the difference between this and the top ones but for 20 dollars im eating this every day if i could haha! Great video Have to admit i think the gold spray should not be there...
It is not, but it's FAR better than your usual noisy restaurant. Here you just need to listen to your chef, and everybody is quiet and minds their own business. I'm super timid yet I'd go to an omakase if I could
I’m a huge seafood fan and my 78yr old father is a fishermen from Laos! 🇱🇦 let me tell you summmmin…. AIN’T NOBODY TELLING ME HOW TO EAT MY FOOD!! But hey! Do you!!!! BB!!!!
I have no idea how they can only charge $20usd. I can see them using some local caught fish/ingredients to lower food costs but things like bluefin tuna, shima aji ,and other Japanese fish are high cost no matter even if you are neighbors to Japan.
