Eating a 12 Course Omakase at a Japanese restaurant in Bangkok Thailand that cost 900 baht a person! Koko Japanese Restaurant Address: Harindhorn Building, Si Lom Rd, Khwaeng Silom, Khet Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand
The problem with omakase is that 1 course can be one piece of sushi, for $30 that's ok but omakase is usually $200-$500. Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you and seeing restaurants that I could never go to, I love this channel because it's all about the food and the experience.
@angemaidment5640 I agree. I was gifted a fancy smancy molecular gastronomy meal for 2 from an old boss who knew I used to be a chef, and he absolutely hated that boojie crap(his words) Hubby and I went and while about half the plates were basically one or two bites. But a few were more filling and by tge end of the 25 courses I was pretty full. My big man not so much so of course McDonald's on the way home lol. I'd probably never do it again unless gifted as it was $200 a person pop up type thing. Weirdest part. They refused tips it also came with wine/beer/aperitif but just like one or two sips as you didn't want to get sloshed My favorite was the smoked salmon bite with a cream cheese foam and the little green pearls that looked like eggs/caviar but was made from spring peas and green onions. They made and plated things right on a table in middle with a TV screen for the overhead. It was fascinating to watch but we were there for about 4 hours. Totally not everyone's cup of tea I keep hoping to heal my mouth enough to be able to eat again and go to Japan to eat myself into a food coma in Osaka. It's even got its own word kuidaore.😅
This is so much fun to watch! I was excited when the chef ‘clapped’ the herbs that were part of the appetizer (it’s to release the flavors). Thank you both again for sharing these incredible experiences with us!! What you do is empowering and encouraging in a world that is at odds right now. Thank you. 🙏 ❤
After pretty much watching every video you’ve made and being a subscriber since 200k I think, I can say the most interesting thing (All the food looked delicious) was the coke. So often you go eat and the soft drink itself is $5-$8 so seeing it here for a $1 is amazing.
I love watching videos like this. I could never afford to eat at places like this so I enjoy it through you guys. I love seeing Ms.Bacons expressions when she tries the food.
New video! Baconators Assemble! Truffle and gold dust... what! Long time SUBSCRIBER loving all the videos. Everytime you upload a new video it makes me hungry. You even inspired me to make my own Hawaii Food channel. It's slow starting but thank you to everyone for their Aloha and support.
That tuna with gold foil and gold dust alone would have jacked up the price of the meal to at least twice as much as it was here in the US. What a deal for such a beautiful meal! Mrs. Bacons looked beautiful and happy as usual, too, of course.
While watching it I had my doubts if you had enough to eat. When they brought dessert as #11 and #12 I'm absolutely sure you didn't. It makes me want to visit an all you can eat Japanese place in my town - the price is not much more than $30, even less when visiting for lunch :)
I wish we had this in the states! I’m not sure what happened with the video part of this video. There’s a lot of shaking, bluryness, and movement. Usually it’s a lot smoother. Are you trying out new equipment or techniques to video?
I really enjoy these videos because they’re relaxing and I learn a lot. I have a very overactive mind and when there’s a lot of talking in videos sometimes I get overwhelmed and overthink everything being said so these vids are always a welcome change and a break from that! Thank you.
Oh là là... thank you for sharing this delicious meal, happiness and gastronomy. As usual, we get to experience Mrs. Bacon's stamp of approval and the wonderful videography. Sending my blessings! 🙏
I've never seen a morsel of food presented on top of my hand, quite unusual. Never had gold to eat either. Altogether a surprise and unique. 😊 Good evening.
I've never understood the point of putting gold leaf on food. I mean, sure, "you eat with your eyes first" and all that, but does it add to the flavour in any way, or does it just make the dish more expensive?
7:50 And this is where it went south... No seriously. Why does every "chef" feel the need to use that pointless tastless and expensive thing called gold leaf? Like seriously whats the point besided jacking up the price...
It's an easy and serious way to jack up the price, simple as that. Some women like sparkly things and excess, some guys like the flex, the restaurant wins on an otherwise stupid investment, and they do.
I think it's important to try food experiences beyond the norm of what you normally engage in, if you can. Like everything in life, it is important to try a spectrum of things.
@@deadzioit might have been real. If they were using gold. But usually if using real wasabi they grind it on shark skin board in front of you The real stuff is lovely but quick. A substitute in our household is Japanese giant red mustard microgreens. They have a big wicked wasabi kick too. It's absolutely fun on handroll and roll your own sushi night.
