I have these and paid like $130 on Amazon coupled with the Lasfit LD plus switchback fog lights. Well worth the money and an actual yellow light that you can see and it throws it out there. Very impressed and highly recommended!
LASFIT makes terrific LED bulbs. I like their design and heat dissipation-cooling solution. Check the stats and/or test how much drain they may place on your battery. However, $200 is more than I would want to pay for any type of bulb. If I had a Light House along the coast, sure thing.
I can find out. My trail vehicle is the Jeep and I have that prepped for abuse. This is on the runner which I am still prepping for trails so I'm not sure how the fans will be affected once we do some water crossings
What is the impact on the 4Runners’ alternator and battery system? Can the alternator keep up with the lights and still carry the vehicle load and charge the battery?
It's been great. Haven't had any issues. No affect on draw or recharging battery at all. Because it's LED it can create a ton more light without it needing too much power.
I had that issue as well with the LA Plus H11 Low Beams. It appears the orange gasket is a bit thicker so I swapped it out to the OEM gasket and it fit as it should. I just did a video on this
Yup another Toyota lowbeam headlight housing blunder. I have a 2017 Highlander and even though everything was “ cool “ with the low beams the first few times I used them, they quickly became totally inadequate and by that I mean outright dangerous. So after using “ higher spec. Sylvania H11s that were okay for a few months and then were just above being useless, I switched to an LED from a Canadian Company who I communicated with about the odd Highlander offset lowbeam headlight socket. They assured me that pretty much guaranteed that they would fit. After struggling for over an hour to get the first side in I finally decided maybe the gasket was too thick and used the softer, thinner ones from the old halogens. They went in but the alight was exactly as you described with a poor beam pattern ( it looks like small people are standing in front of my vehicle blocking most of the light except for slivers of “ worse than old Halogen light. Now I’m thinking that maybe the same issue happened with the LEDs that I had bought. My son has a 2019 Encore and the original halogens were faded pretty badly so he bought some of the Lassiter H11s as a “ kit” along with a pair of 9005 high beams. I believe the they are called LC Air??? and we did have fitment issues on the passenger side lowbeam. I eventually got it in with a very thin gasket ( the kit came with two pairs of way thinner gaskets) but after t3st driving this car I decided I need to get some Lasfit bulbs so I’m considering these Pros but here in Canada they are over $230 Amazon.Ca. The daylight hours are getting shorter so I need better lowbeam lighting. I just really don’t want to go through the hassle if they don’t work out and I particularly don’t want to be one of the tools who is blinding other drivers. I think any LED RU-vidrs who are reviewing LEDs should show how it looks when they are coming towards the vehicle with low beams on.
@@BaptismOverlandthese Pros have a small Allen Screw under the gasket where you can adjust the mounting base by a few clicks. I think maybe within the manufacturing process and or packaging. Those mounts are turned to one click or another making them a difficult job. As long as the LED “ stick “ has the led chips facing the 9:00 o’clock and 3:00 o’clock sides you’re okay so maybe after trying t9 adjust the base, mark on the back where the LED stick is oriented.
My question is about the headlights. Is it better to have projector lights or reflector lights? Id be using led lights. Need to upgrade my lights on my 4th gen 4runner
It all depends. That's a debate for the decades lol It's all about usage. Projectors focuses the light down the lane where as reflectors will spill it everywhere like a flood depending on how it's built. The thing about CHEAP reflectors (like if you buy cheap amazon off-road lights) is that the beam pattern is just all over the place. Before when LEDs were still somewhat new, HIDs in reflectors were the way to go because LEDs looked sloppy. Nowadays tech is so much better that LEDs are the new standard. On this runner it's the LEDs inside the reflectors and they're great. What housing are you putting it in? Is that what you're trying to decide?
The way you pronounce the company's name is the same way I've been pronouncing it. I've heard other Lasfit affiliates on youtube pronouncing it as Laysfit. Dunno which is correct. But anyway I just copped the pro series for my Mother in law's Camry. Hopefully they last longer than 3 years.
They have bulbs for those but I don't think in the same kind of intensity. I know they've grown their product line so you'll just have to check their site with your bulb type if they offer them. They're really good with their customer service as far as answering your questions. I know they're very responsive to messages on IG
Not yet because according to them (at least when i first bought the lights months ago) they don't have DRL yet. I COULD upgrade the high beams but I don't even think it's necessary
@@Zeek800 it's not that. Bulbs aren't marked. In fact in the instructions they give on the light it even says if it doesn't light, turn it around to reverse polarity. Super weird I know. There was no + or - markings on the bulbs
@@BaptismOverland it’s not on the bulb it’s on the connector. Maybe not on all models but it is on my 2017 so 2017-19 Highlander. It’s a tiny + it’s hard to see
@@Zeek800no that's what I mean. The connector is fine. You can see it clear. But the bulb at the bottom has 2 connectors that look exactly alike and it's not marked which is which. That's why in the bulb instructions it says plug it in and if it doesn't work turn it around the other way. I'm good with electrical. I can tell with stock wiring which is gonna give me the pos and neg leads. It's the bulb that you have to align. Keep in mind this is an old video and when I got the Pros, Igot one of their first runs. Prob why it wasn't marked
