But then, this is also how Chinese corporations eliminates their competitions. Plus, at this point, China must over-produce to turn its cradle and dumping all kinds of products to the entire world at a near break-even point. You as a consumer think it’s good but actually will result in killing local & national businesses involved in selling American &/ European bicycle brands, harming the economy.
@@ariffau Ultimate CF SL 7 is the equivalent 105 bike with no carbon wheels = you will need an extra $400-600 for it. Surely not a bad deal at 2300EUR but will go closer to 2.8-3k more at the end of it.
@@TheRimBrakeGuy but it’s still a Canyon. Get this Sava and spec it with D.Ace and Carbon Ti if you’d like. But you know somewhere deeeep down in you would still be thinking of a branded bike 😂
That's what a bike should cost. I am currently building an ICAN bike, and I don't think I can ever go back to buying overpriced "brand name" bikes anymore.
I mean when you look at it decathlon provide good value bike with van rysel. The RCR pro with di2 is 5500€ with a power meter full carbon frame fork handlebars and swisside wheels
@@telkmx It's not terrible, but 1640g wheels are too heavy. Anyway, 5500 euro for a bike is still ridiculous. This hobby and sport is becoming elitist, and I hate it. Admittedly Decathlon is one of the good guys here, they have plenty of road bikes for less than 1000 euro on offer.
Sava had a team using their bike in Tour of Slovenia last week. I'm surprised nobody talks about the Gusto Cobra Evo... Well priced bike raced by a few pro teams including Ljubljana cycling team.
Joe keep bringing these choices to the people.. Top video 👍👍 Mate you are one of very very few that has a business and that is honest👍. You should be proud of that, as everyone has sold out around you and you have the respect for your audience not to... Complete RESPECT💪💪Well done👍
Thanks Benji 👍 I just keep doing my thing. Business is doing well enough and I can sleep fine at night knowing I still have my soul. :) if I jumped aboard the shill train could I double my income? Maybe. But you can't earn all the money in the world, so best not be greedy.
It's game over for those greedy legacy brands... And I'm happy about it. They totally tried to price the consumer into stupid costs. Shameful of them. Great day for cycling.
My 1st carbon roadbike was a Sava. Used it for 2 years b4 changing it. In that time bike was quite faultless except for the cables making a Din when it rattles inside the frame. Weak spot was the saddle locking mechanism which went loose. Other than that it's pretty decent bike
Really love where the market is headed. Western brands are in deep poo if they dont adapt quickly. These manufacturers are going direct to consumer and the product is better than ever! If the western brands don't adjust pricing on their mid-range offerings, they're gonna get eaten alive by some of these asian manufacturers! I'm here for it alllll
nice one, Joe! It's good to also know these more affordable models from China. I'm going to Shunde next month for work, and I'm looking into buying a complete bike (since I'm not sure I'll be able to buy parts and put them together), and Sava was on my radar since that's around the budget I have... so well timed video! lol
For 350USD more, one can get a Canyon Ultimate. Same groupset, Conti GP 5000 in 28! no carbon wheels though but there’re CRWs up for sale at Panda Podium 👀
Yeah the frame is probably better QC on the Canyon but who knows? But it has not fully internal routings, cheap dt swiss wheels like 200 the pair i think ? And the wheels are just way better on the SAVA being carbon but not even sure which wheels they are lol.. And sava is 12 speed. But then add the import fees so..
Frame size doesn't affect weight as much as people think. Probably 150g between an XS and XL. In the scope of a 8kg bike, thats nothing. I thought the weight was "ok", at this price, something like a Spesh Allez Sport is 10kg.
This looks nice. I wish the non-traditional brands basically made a cheaper Crux, Atheist, and Crux alu. It could be a few hundred grams heavier. Something simple for the home mechanic.
I have a trek SLR and something like this no name. Its just slightly heavier and not as stiff. Is my trek worth 2-3 times more? Or warranty? For the average rider from my experience is NO. Remember for the price of my trek i can buy 2-3 of these!!!!!
Wow so apart from Shimano everything else on this bike is well priced. At this point i would stop supporting the big 2 giants & pay for new commers who know how to price their gearing systems.
This brand is one of the OGs of quality bikes from China as packages. It was SAVA, JAVA and the heaviest hitter TWITTER that had the best packages. ONLY Twitter had GENUINE T1000 frames and weights to prove it on their Aero bikes. SAVA has a major presence IN GERMANY already.
I have two problems with this frame. I would sooner have external cables around the steering tube, and an endurance frame would make me happy. Otherwise an interesting bike.
What so you think about JAVA. A friend just bought a “fuoco” model full carbon with 105 mechanical. Cost about 11k RMB in Shanghai. What do you think about Java brand ?
I own a Fuoco.. It's 7.9kg with changed wheels + handlebar. It looks like the pro winning Merida Reacto. Bought it for 6,999 RMB local ($960) cause the logos are stealth. The thing flies and I drop many Bianchi, specialized.. All those $15,000 bike boys on the regular 😂
Bro, how are you? i think i asked this before but not answer, what is the difference between Sava and Java bikes. Are they the same company? thanks in advance.
I've seen the inside of some SAVA frames that looked miserably bad. I do hope this one is a great frame though. We need realistic bike prices. They obviously need to improve the quality of some things - like those seatpost bolts - absolutely needs to be stainless.
@@williamko4751 multiple videos on youtube. You can find them yourself easily. "hit job"? LOL. I'd love if all SAVAs were great. I want inexpensive frames
I am Vietnamese, right next to China. Previously, I bought a Sava MTB, advertised as a t800 carbon frame, when I got my hands on a Giant MTB, Orbea. I just realized that my Sava is as soft as noodles. You can squeeze it with your hands, causing the frame to become dented and too thin.
