Maybe you don’t hVe this problem as you guys eat it all quick enough but I found washing and in the case of strawberries cutting the fruit then storing in a paper towel lined lidded container helps them last sooo much longer. Just thought I’d share in case anyone is struggling with that!😊
I know you have a lot of kids and a lot going on, but one way to save on groceries is to buy big blocks of cheese and cut them up on your own and big containers of things like applesauce and yogurt and portion it out at home. Convenience items cost much more. It saves a bit on the waste as well.
We just spent $388 at Walmart and I still need to get some stuff at the african store cuz I can't do without my african meals. I think we got a lot for our money's worth but then again it's like geez everything is so so pricey! Thankfully my hubby isn't picky and we have our first baby due in two weeks so it's really just meal prep for him and I. Thank you namesake for sharing ❤ 😊
A great way to use up the mango. Remove the flesh from the skin and stone. Cut into chunks and freeze . .. also freeze some peeled bananas. When you fancy a really healthy sorbet put some frozen mango, banana and some lime juice into the nutri bullet/blender and enjoy! So healthy and tasty. My kids love it
Hii Tabitha great shopping videos l have been watching big cooking videos with shopping I like the ones where they take you in the store and talk to you while shopping about prices.😊
Great video, Tabitha. The prices of groceries are through the roof. I'm trying to stay on budget, but we are getting a lot less for our money. We love salmon and have it every week. I am definitely going to try your recipe. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Enjoyed the video! Grocery prices here in eastern Canada are crazy too! So easy to feel guilty for a high grocery bill...even though it's not my fault my family needs to eat! 😄
I love that you're transparent with the costs! So many people for some reason won't share the price, which is just odd to me. I'd love it if you shared a monthly breakdown one of these days! How much your family spent over a whole month, and a dinner plan for the month. ❤️ like you said, With inflation I'd be curious to see what everybody spends in a month around the country, and also a video with a whole bunch of family meals too for new ideas! Lord knows we need new ideas in our house since we never eat out anymore!
Yes, the prices have gotten crazy high. They have pretty much doubled on a lot of this. Your haul looks a lot like our haul. I’m also jealous that your Sam’s has the Debees back. Ours doesn’t yet, so we have to buy it at Meijer’s because our kids love them.
Tabitha, nice to seeing you. You are such a sweet lady and the kids are growing up fast. I will cook up soups and casserole dishes and freeze them . We did a shopping haul and it cost us $420.00 ( 2 ). It will last us a long while. A friend of mine who's a manager at the Grocery store , told me to stock up food is going up in price. So I let the family know about it too.
We have bjs wholesale and I can't get out of there for under $500.00. Granted most things will last the whole month and others longer with some things not lasting to long. I did some price, size comparison and it actually comes out way cheaper then the regular grocery store with some things coming out to the same price but I get bigger packages instead of a bunch of smaller ones. We are a family of 5 and I still have to do a fill in haul around the middle of the month for the fresh things. Most month's it's from $500.00 to $700.00 a month depending on what I need that month. That total also includes laundry and hygiene products as well. My bill use to be between $350.00 to $500.00 a month, so yes prices have gone way up. I'm gonna start really paying attention to the things we can do without and really making some stretchy meals because it's only getting more and more expensive. I know I can do it but it's just gonna take some deep thought. I have 3 teenage boys and they can eat lol. I don't have any discount stores around me and if I did I would so be in there shopping away lol.
Love Sams Club! Gotta try the salmon bites, looks so good! I just made chicken broth yesterday. I save all my Turkey and chicken carcasses in the freezer till I have a couple big bags, put in a large crockpot with bay leaf, garlic, carrots, onion, celery. Cook 24 hours or so on low, strain, cool and defat and bag up and freeze. So much better than the chicken water from the store! ☀️☀️☀️
Hello Tabitha, i hope you have a good day. The prices here in Canada are even more scary than usa's... May I share my trick for applesauce? I use the little cups of applesauce instead of the pouches because the price is lower. :) Applesauce is not one of my homemade recipe either because i think it's too long to do and more dishes to wash lol
Me and my family love salmon too! It’s crazy expensive though. My brother lives in Washington state he has salmon at his back door lol super jealous of that! I found Kroger has a good price on big salmon fillets
Grocery prices are crazy and my freezers are full of chicken and venison so I buy very little meat and it’s still insane. Even at Aldi but I know it’s a lot better there then other stores.
I didn't think she got much for that price either. It's super crazy expensive now to just go to the store and buy what you want. Now it takes some real planning for the same money.
@@karenkaren5013 I don't think prices gonna get better. They down th once in a while to calm us down then sneak them back up. Sad world. God is our hope, peace and comfort. I pray your week is blessed.
Those salmon bites looked delicious n actually it was expensive compared to a few years ago but had you ate out for a family of 8 you wouldn’t be able to under $50-$100 n that would have been some cheap burger joint~so I think you did Awesome n it was a nice meal🙂🌺
I'm 51 and an empty nester and I'm old school Generation X and my grocery bill is really low because I love eating Chef Boyardee brand food and Hormel brand food
I know ima a year late but what type of salmon do you buy? I cant find fresh caught salmon anymore and yes i agree the prices from inflation is astronomical
Hello, I just found your channel and I would be interested to know if this is all for a week and what age are your children? I am a mom of 4 children, they are now between 21-10 years old and they eat a lot Thank you for your channel
