Man I think I could watch one of your videos every day. Your living my dream! I also agree. Make that thing top of the line stock-ish form it can be. I couldn’t think of anything better to win. Heck yeah! One of the reasons for the power loss in the mid-low RPM's is the pipes. Expansion chambers are tuned to work in a certain powerband, and essentially redistribute power from other RPM ranges into the powerband. In the powerband, the pressure waves in the pipes work to supercharge the gas flow. Out of the powerband, the pressure waves end up working to resist the gas flow. There's essentially a power-rob-band as well, in the mid-low range. Love yall's videos and insane talent!

I hope you know.. they make big bore kits "cheetah" kits for these.. With power valve cylinders and long stroke cranks....... You can really go off the rails with a drag racing banshee set up, in terms of power-- and money.

If it was a dyno worth anything they would've kept tabs on AFR which would point to a lean is mean situation. More wheel horsepower can be gained on a stock motor simply changing sprocket sizes from stock.

@@joshstevens6678 its not a wives tale bud. Both my kx100 and kx 140bigbore were almost twice as fast for about a month before the engine blew. Seemed like they wanted to rev to the moon

when the petrol is just about to run out my bike runs like the devil, but then it runs out and bogs down and shuts off. i dont understand one riunning better before blowing up though, if its gonna blow up presumably something is wrong/ worn out. the only thing i notice is the power goes way way down eventually and its time for a new piston and rings. certainly doesnt get more powerful when its worn out. but ill partially believe it as ive never been too hard on my bike. i can see some logic in it though, like with trail riding you generally dont stay in the powerband much and gunk accumulates, then you hit a straight and ham on the throttle and it just goes faster and faster as it burns off all the deposits etc, which then if the bike is worn out or you just dont let off and overheat it then kaboom i guess, and then i guess technically it was at its best just before it blew up. but yeah, generally they blow up when being ridden the hardest, so technically they do ride the best just before they go boom. so ill believe it 100%, but only on a technicality. as i dont think there is any such thing as a worn out motor being more powerful than a healthy one.

Sweet banshee. I had one. It was 100 over on stock cylinders with 19cc domes stock carbs and T5 pipes and advanced timing. It made 56 hp on the dyno. Loved it. Miss it.

Awesome content, guys and so much fun to watch. I really like the idea of benchmarking the Banshee before the upgrades and seeing what the upgrades do to the power curve. Out of curiosity, have you researched how much it would cost to buy/build your own dyno to test the creations y'all make?

I'm jealous fellas $500 awsome deal I miss my banshee had to sell it many years ago she was 80 over ported and polished coolhead pro circuit platinum pipes and before letting it go installed the trinity stage IV intake and single 35mm carb with V force reed's 🤪 hearing your banshee running just gave me chills and alot of good memories keep up the awsome vids and can't wait to see what you do, also when your done put paddles on her and run it in some sand👍trinity racing can make that motor a triple too. Or even better there's a turbo for banshee have fun.

YES! BANSHEE BROS! For real tho, this quad is a beast even for skilled riders. I've got pod filters on mine, tomey T5 pipes, stock carbs with larger jets, stock reeds and it's like a rocket. Ride safe and have fun!

My uncle got one of those when they were brand new. He then proceeded to join the "over the bars" club. He survived, but it took years to recover.

My friends in the ER right now with a fractured skull and broken shoulder & he’s deaf in one ear now. He was drifting in a parking lot last night & he highsided & flipped his bike. No helmet of course, moral of the story bikes fine, he’s not. I think the helmet would’ve saved him. I was never one to take lnjuries serious but when it happens to a close friend it kinda twists your stomach seeing him on a stretcher being loaded into an ambulance after being totally knocked out having a mini seizure bleeding from his ear canal. Only thing he was worried about was his designer shirt😆 any ways thought I’d share since it happend last night & on this same bike 05 colour white. Make sure you guys are wearing your helmets even if your just gonna ride for 2 minutes, he took it off right before he fell, probably for better vision to hit his drift harder. He’s still dizzy and keeps asking how he fell probably 2000 times now. He’s really not the same guy right now & im really hoping he makes a full recovery.

In South Africa Banshee's are collector items and some sell for R 180 000, that is $ 12 000 at the current exchange rate. You will never find one in that condition for that price in South Africa. I just love 2 strokes and that is my dream machine. Love your channel and never miss an episode. Keep up the good content.

Open pod KN filters and 300 mains jets , 27.5 pilots and 2 turns out on the idle mixture screws with the needles on the 2nd clip . Cool head with 17cc domes and Vforce high flow reeds , and adjustable timing plate ..

Subscribed! Having owned a banshee and knowing how easy it is to make a serious HP drag bike, I would like to see a bike with about 60 to 70 hp and a serious suspension setup. Fox shocks, a-arms, and a stock length aftermarket swingarm.

Drop the carb needles one step. Or if the Banshee has pod filters add a three inch extension between the filter and the carb throat to act as a velocity stack and contain the low speed reversion of fuel coming back though the carb. The factory leans the idle mixture curve to compensate for this richer mixture from the slight double trip through the carb. It is easier just to add the extra intake duct than it is to totally retune the carb to compensate. Just changing the idle jet is not enough. Pretty sure they make a good intake and filter combo that has the extra length built in. I have a good filter setup on my RD400 and I' m sure the Banshee was one of the options

Awesome video Guys 👍. So what is next? 🤔. 2 stroke motor are wicked, the sound, smell + so much easier to work on. I had a Rd 125 Lc that did 105 mph, it was insane.Had to rebuild it every 3 to 4 months tho just the top end tho . Burnt 🔥 throw a lot of pistons & plugs. Had so much fun on it ☺

If I'm not mistaken these we're 42HP stock at the crank. So 34HP to the wheels sounds about right. They we're really tame in stock form but still a fast quad.

Reeds might fix the bottom end... v force 3 seem to be the best...tried em all by the way. Jealous you got that ripper for 500... Nervous it was gonna pop during the second pull. Cheetah kits...+3 A-arms... +6 swingarms... The combos are endless with that bike... Got a 929 honda fireblade motor ive been meaning to throw in mine. Cheers from Canada. 🤘

9:23 My Yamaha YZ 250 has that fluttering too before hitting the powerband with the stock exhaustpipe but you can sort that out with an aftermarket pipe.

the Banshee .... such a great machine. Unfortunately there aren't many here in Germany and if you can find one, it costs well over € 2000. I own a YFM 660 with an FZS 600 motorcycle engine. it's fun too, but a banshee would be awesome

That thing makes almost as much as my dad's old VW Beetle with a built engine. Did well to go 70, downhill with the wind to your back. Put 4 people in there and you weren't going the speed limit on the highway...not that you would want to anyway, because the brakes constantly went out.
