The $6 buffet definitely looked worth it, while the expensive one looked nice, some of the other expensive buffets you've shown seem much better. Always appreciate the little stories you share; definitely makes it more entertaining!

16:25 i think this dish was a direct homage to parasite because in that movie, the mother wasn’t just making cheap chapaguri, but topping this cheap instant noodles with hanwoo beef which is comparable to Wagyu in price. The director wanted to show, that for these super rich, expensive food can be seen as something as mundane as filling cheap stuff. My guess is, the restaurant used hanwoo as well.

Jimmy, I have a funny story to tell you, I was cooking dinner with my headphones today and decided to just play any random RU-vid channel. It turned out to be your giant Japanese food vid, then this Korean buffet and your muscle bar vid (randomly played in loop) . I spent 45mins just cooking and listening (mind you, not WATCHING these vids) and lol, after finished cooking, I rewatched your vids again and LOLed, listening to your vids gave me the impression that you're an ojii-san in your 40s but lol! I've been briefly in South Korea in 1996, twice. I was going to live in Japan and, as an Italian citizen, my visa could only be processed from abroad and Seoul was the best option. I knew nothing about Korea and in those days we didn't even have mobile phone. Very very few people could speak English and I was offered a job as an English teacher almost instantly (blonde, blue eyes worked better than a passport then). I was impressed by the kindness of the people but unfortunately I really didn't know what to eat so I ended up eating easy take away food that I could point with my finger. Jimmy, you are showing us how to survive in Korea without spending an arm and a leg. Next, I would love to see other activities and accomodations with good food such as the Japanese ryokan, onsen (thermal bath), etc. One more thing, the sea looked beautiful from the window, where are the best places to swim? What do Koreans do during the holidays? Any good cycling routes to explore? Thank you!

Yes, when I was in kindergarten in Ukraine in the 90s I remember going out and playing in the snow just in my underwear with all the other kids. It's for the same reason, to improve our immune system. I don't recall ever feeling cold, scared, getting sick, or not wanting to do it. I remember we really loved it as kids because it felt super freeing and fun. Obviously I don't think that would fly nowadays.

I don't know if it wasnt just shown, but it seems to me that the expensive buffet did not have enough variations of meat. Like plain steak, bbq or in Chinese section Peking duck, Poached Chicken, Pork belly.

I don't know if they had it at that expensive buffet... but if that crispy bulgogi with the rice noodle sheet had some vietnamese fish sauce mixed dipping sauce poured on... it's super good!
