Just to add to this, I go this set up for 799.99 in store at costco, then bought two pair of the surrounds, (R41-M) to make mine a 7.0.4 system, for that I paid 999.99 before tax. then I bought two SVS PB-1000 Pro subs to go with them, and a Denon X3700h AVR to top it poff as well as a 2 channel monoprice amp to run the last two channels. all told it is awesome!! I had been shopping soundbars then found this set up from Elan Osbornes youtube channel. this was the best thing I added to our tv. Now it sounds unreal, so amazing!! The Klipsch subs are garbage, go with the SVS for ultimate subwoofer precise bass.
I just noticed you got R51-M surrounds, when I bought this kit it came with R41-M surrounds it was 799 in store or 899 online. Where exactly did you buy this kit that it came with the larger surrounds?
Thank you for an excellent review. Finally after a lot of research I decided to buy this and just realized that its out of stock in Arizona(Costco). I called them up and was saddened to know that its discontinued and will not be back in stock. I do see that the item shows available when I enter a California Zip Code. Whoever bought this recently can you please share in which location its available? Is there an economic option to ship 150 lbs from California to Arizona? Thanks a lot!
If you are still in the market for a system, the 5.0.2 system is available again in some zip codes (not all, sadly). Just received mine today, ordered it on Saturday night.
Okay I finally got this system 5.0.2.,and the surround back left and right are not working same with the center channel. I have them plugged in, in the correct plug in the back of the receiver. I plugged in the mic set up it comes with the receiver and it does make noise individually each channel speaker. I made sure to choose 5.2.2 option on the setup input as I have in my living space but no good outcome :/. Please help. Left and right surround back as well center speaker not playing audio while playing movie/music. The receiver I’m using is the Onkyo TX-NR6050
it might be that the audio you are playing is not recorded in an appropriate format like surround sound. For the music you should be switching it to stereo 2 channel mode and it should be playing from all speakers
I was excited too when I got mine. Then I listened to it... Perfect system for a college student in a dorm as a starter unit. Beyond that, unless it is "free", I highly recommend doing some research. Please. These are all starter speakers that sound mediocre, especially without a sub. I have replaced every single speaker here.
