I listen to every word as very mine and not by a Pakistan national. 1947 may have created a partition and 2 slices of punjab, but is has failed to create a divide in a true Punjabi heart. Sir it was nice to hear you, but around 48:00-49:00 you say that the leading community for peace between the two countries will be Punjabi, you are right sir but not just Punjabi, even the Sindhi community faced huge bloodshed and emotional trauma. Sindhis in India (mostly hindu ones) still miss their janmabhoomi, their mandars, tikanas, gurudwaras and the shrines of Sufi poets of sindhi literature like Shah Latif Bhitai and others. Just like Punjabis the sindhi community (hindu sindhis in India and Muslim sindhis in sindh) can also be lead peace efforts. Many sindhis (especially old generation) long to visit their hometowns and culturally significant places like Jhulelal mandirs and the mohenjo daro etc.

On one hand "9pm tv newsroom " discourse where religion, faith, and issues on pakistan is politiced need based. Here, i am genuinely glad to see, how Lallantop delves so gracefully with a pakistani Scholar. Respect. :) Knowledge has no boundaries, its respected n valued.

Sir I am from Amritsar and my family once had good business with Pakistan and Afghanistan. Tea business. I belong to the generation which grew up watching PTV. Watching this interview is like traveling through time.

Intelligent person is someone who learns not only from his own mistake but also from others mistake. We need to learn from Pakistan and make a list of ‘what NOT to do’. Don’t link religion and state, don’t distort history, don’t let army interfere in politics or foreign policy , develop scientific temperament.

Thanks very much for organizing the show and hosting the most important person who could hold the mirror to depict the reality. I am a punjabi from Indian side of Punjab...They could read and write only in Urdu and not punjabi though they spoke mostly Punjabi.Urdu was the official language back then in Punjab .Punjab that comprised of Indian and pakistani side punjab , himachal pradesh and haryana.
