Elevate for low maintenance since Honda cars r meant to last longer as seen in previous products like honda City. Honda cars are always balanced interms of Engine refinement, Build quality etc. I have driven a 4th gen City and its torque figures are very good for normal driving and good comfort and cabin insulation!!

Depends on usage but Elevate CVT will return around 2kmpl more in city usage (example Seltos dct 9 then Elevate 11) On highways both will return around 15-16 but the difference in performance will be huge

City vs Elevate is fine but Amaze? Where amaze price ends, Elevate starts

True. As I mentioned in the video, top variants of Seltos/Creta won't be affected. Main heat will be felt by GV delta/Sigma variant in 13-16 lakh range

Only the top part of structural change is required to fit a large sunroof (Creta shares the platform, (sp2c) the Chinese version on same platform came with it from day 1 but yeah, Kia had to redesign the top half that's why I am hopeful they should've made more changes to the entire chassis in this process and made it better for crash worthiness.

Kia seltos will have more features. Toyota/Suzuki is overpriced because they charge for being more reliable

All good with performance and mileage, but strong hybrid is a no-go for me because of its lack of boot space. Since they’ve placed the battery at the bottom of the trunk, you get the storage space of that of swift or WagonR.

Back seat kneeroom and comfort to maine bhi kaha hai Elevate me better rhega lekin 3 log k liye mushkil lag rha. Beech ki seat patli aur unchi hai, headrest aur 3pt. Seatbelt nahi hai iska mtlb 2 log k liye hi designed hai rear seats.

Every car has gone through light, normal and extreme crashes and they perform good and bad depending on the situation. The difference comes in the usage of Ultra high strength steel which I want to see Kia/Hyundai to use more in critical areas (A, B pillars, Firewall area and rear chassis reinforcement) regardless of the NCAP results. City is very lightly build, as most Japanese cars are, but thats the beauty. Only Japanese manufacturers can pull off light cars which have the same or sometimes better safety scores than even heavy German cars around the world so City 5th gen uses a lot of high grade steels and there shouldn't be any issue in chassis integrity. Fyi, myths aside, Seltos feels very planted on highways.

Can't tell exactly without proper crash test but As I discussed in the video, expect a minimum of 4 stars. It's possible that Kia has also upgraded its safety. To be certain, wait for crash results.

Elevate will be on honda city platform so expect 5 star rating which kia will never achieve 5 star Seltos facelift will not change the dimension and platform so expect the same rating as before If you are concern about build quality go for elevate.

Not a major role, Seltos is 60-70kgs heavier than Taigun so 🤷🏻‍♂️ Honda hasn't released the kerb weight of Elevate. Will let you know after it does

Issue with doors? What kind of issue? I am hearing this for the first time. But as I mentioned in the video, for highway speeds, most probably, Elevate structure will be stronger than Seltos' one.

First of all, thanks. Ventilated seats don't help much in long drives as generally we leave for the trip in the morning. For normal city runabouts and going/coming back from office, especially if the car is parked in open, it becomes too hot from inside and the cabin takes time to cool, seat ventilation becomes a boon as your shirt doesn't stick to the seat. Watch my Verna 1.5ivt review as I have shown when it's useful.

True, in the CVT variant only, Seltos/Creta/Verna has this as well but the cool air coming out of seat is something else. 🙃

Same question n budget as this hence jumping into discussion .. will be self driven, 50-50 city n highway drive and wud prefer a comfortable drive.. avg running not more than 1500 to 2000 km in a month..

I have an ivtec at home, truth be told, in front of 1.4/1.5 turbos, that engine feels very weak on highways. It's decent for a simple everyday car but not effortless

Have you found issues with Hyundai/Kia 1.5mpi engine reliability? And don't expect Honda to price Elevate very competitively!

@@DriveShrive Not that Hyundai or Kia are having less reliable engines, but Honda’s engines have always had a reputation in terms performance and refinement and I am hoping Elevate will be no different. And may be you are right for the price part, but lets see what they give us next month

No you shouldn't worry about mileage for 600kms. For 5 people comfort, Carens would be best in these options. I think you should go with your family and test drive Carens and Elevate both automatic versions.

Panoramic sunroof should be there but a fixed one which can't be opened. Just opening the blind on rainy day or night time gives a good feeling but let's see how both fare on sales when the Elevate comes on sales.

If you don't live in Delhi ncr, you can consider Seltos diesel as well. Plus, Hyryder hybrid has enough features in the top variant. HUD, sunroof, ventilated seats etc

@@DriveShrive I agree with you . I live in Delhi. Also the fact that diesel cars have higher maintenance cost so I am considering petrol car. I believe that Kia will provide many segment first features. Only thing I am concerned about is reliability of DCT in Delhi’s traffic as I am considering an automatic car. The other day I was getting my Honda’s AC serviced and the mechanic told me that Kia’s and Hyundai’s quality of parts is sub standard and suggest me to consider Honda or Toyota.

I've met many Hyundai/Kia users who are happy with the reliability and many Honda owners who face numerous reliability issues not with the engine but with electronics and other parts. It's a good product as well. 🙃

@@DriveShrive He was not working at Honda but a small shop near my place. I went there just for gas top up. I am not considering semi automatic (IMT) as I don’t like to shift gears myself. Yes I may consider Hyryder for my final decision though I didn’t get that wow factor which I get in Carens or seltos. Was about to book Carens but then got the news of seltos facelift having ADAS. Just waiting for seltos facelift launch for a more informed decision. Thanks for your suggestions.

Yeah, to each of their own. In cars above 15 lakhs, the people who do extreme mods are less and you'll not see most journalists promoting Karol bagh mods. Plus, you can modify sunroofs and ventilated seats effectively

As per reports, Hyundai started making the new 1.5 turbo petrol in india. The earlier 1.4 turbo was imported but this new one is localised. Fyi, VW also makes their 1L tsi here.
