I listened to your four parts lectures. SW only informed America what they wanted to here. He never described how inhumane state of caste system is pratciced, how women are treated as slave in society. Veds are not allowed to be taught to women but only male brahman. He never revealed the treatnent of women.. His information was glorification of culture by talk and Indian intellectual babas can talk very impresdive all the time but it is hypocracy. His openung of speach is very common in India in Western way will be 'Ladies and Gentkemen.' He might have forgotten it and used Indian way. It happened unknowingly so people appears misunderstood as special Sister and brothers for Americal people was not intendedor usual. Pranayam is taking long breathing through one nostril and brething out by another. It is laughable as both nostril become one space soon after. Taking long breating is sensible. All chakaras have no evidence and nobody has yet known to be with chakra awakened! This is Pesudoscience. Whole Yoga is unnecessary. Stress and education, financial independence, freedom for women are causes for advance society where divorce and mental health problem are hugher. India also has high problems but nobody is counting. In America there are Lecture circuits. One can earn money by giving lectures around the country for years. SV was well recieved only due to his skill of good English speaking and his simple ecplanatipn of Vedic religion. Medition is also not necessary it is just auto-suggestion and waste of time. SV voyage and travel appears very clumsyly prepared, no proper thinking or arrangement seens to be there Most disorderly travel which showed he was lucky to get help at every step. The credit goes all to American people who welcomed Indian delegate who was always in need as nobody properly organised his trip. Pandita Ramabai Saraswati also went to England and then to America later fhan SV and observred them and gave lectures everywhere telling Americans the real state of Indian women and other people by writing a small book 'High Caste Hindu Women.' It opened the eyes of American women .Copies were sold and she used money to build institution for widdows, disabled, blind women or orphan children. She educated them made the to stand on their feet and financial indepenedec. Started Braille schoool. The Culture she found was very discriminstive, inhumane, itolersnt and hypocritic. I think Pundita Ramabai who was titled Saraswati due to her fluency and knowkedge of Sanskrut by Culcutta brahmans was telling Americans truth rather than false glorification by SV. He came from highly educated and rich family. He was learned in University also studied vedas, tantrik from RP and tantrik guru. He was young, charming, special attire which all helped him.to be more effective and appropriate.However, he kept the real state of people and women secret and only glorified veda yoga, tantra etc. Nobody bothers for that religions conference in Chicago, only Indians!
