Anglo-Indians are a community that was born in a 'cultural accident'. Though their support to British rule and allegiance to western customs was a naturally inherited phenomenon, their service and contribution to various Indian walks of life is highly laudable, especially in the Military service and Railways! They are few in number and are finding it difficult to survive. I have served in the IAF and had many Anglo-Indian colleagues. The present Modi.3.0. government should help in one way or the other the remaining people of the community whose number is dwindling and the spirit is weakened! God bless them. Why other Christian groups are not helping Anglo Indians to grow? India always helped all kinds of immigrants, so it should be put forth to relevant officials and political leaders for betterment.
It's true that this community suffering now..but once they ruled the railways, they excelled in boxing, railways , receptionist, police, music, army, paramilitary., Like any other country after independence, these anglo indians never considered themselves as Indians, most of them migrated to Australia, srilanka, uk.canada and usa., Some got married to locals and mixed with Indian population their generation will get govt jobs, most choose to migrate, the biggest issue with Anglos that they relied heavily on govt jobs.,which is very hard now
