My opinion is...after 8 years of warranty period replacement battery cost would have reduced a lot..or else we may get high capacity batteries at the cost 4 lakhs in 2030..so that driving range may increase....petrol price also may reach 200 in another 10 years.... definitely many charging points will come in next 2 years of time...so donot panic.... altroz ev will be game changer....

Why the positives of saving on fuel cost is not explained. For ex I'm having an SUV which is giving me around 11-12km/litre and for me driving this vehicle to reach 160,000kms it will cost me around 13500-14500 litres which cost to around 13.5 lakhs to 14.5 lakhs today and this might increase as well. So even with the cost to be incurred in ev after 160,000kms I will be saving around 3.5 lakhs as per your calculation. I see that EV is a viable option now when you are planning your trips correctly and having the facilities in your premises.

Many Thanks anna..nice explanation....im not sure whether battery vehicles can trusted really, bcos if we consider mobile phones..as an.example... batteries in mobile phone even now do not predict correct capacity even today in many popular brands...it keeps variying....even if there is 100% charge suddenly the charge drops off due to some irregular charging paterrn...this might take even 10 years to succeed...when the battery become older, these batteries are not very reliable.....and replacement cost could be very expensive due to availability of battery...its better to wait and plan.. Another example is in current petrol or diesel cars, if car is not started for 1month, we can see battery issues in many cars....so battery will be the main issue if no good quality battery is given...

Sir One more point I want to add. As the ev vehicle travels more and more kilometres, the distance covered per charge (even though it is full charge) will start reducing with the batteries getting worn out. And it's 100 percent failure cannot be judged easily. Further the life of batteries is fixed and even if the ev vehicle doesn't cover the guaranteed mileage, the batteries are bound to fail after a stipulated time unlike the fossil fuel vehicles. Comparing all these the ev vehicles are less pollutant, only advantage. Having ev vehicles in a place fully infested with rodents is like having a ticking time bomb, because explosion will be very severe. Thank you very much for your clear & unbiased explanation. As long as fossil fuels are used for electricity generation ev s are also polluting. You have to take into account the cost of recycling the batteries and the pollutants released in this process.

Without buying electric vehicle, we will not get adequate infrastructure. First you create infrastructure, then we buy vehicles will not work. Even that was not worked previously with Petrol and diesel vehicles . Govt is giving subsidies to encourage all to come to Green Please encourage your subscribers to start with electric two wheelers, as same price as smoke inducing vehicles first then Cars can be adopted. Yes absolutely right. And EV cars will not help in reduce carbon emissions now because 70-80 % electricity are produced by thermal power plants in india. If we think of reduce carbon emissions then definitely we need to move to solar and hydro plants in future then only the EV cars success is 100% in automobile industry

Unless until our govt produces electricity from natural resources from solar, wind etc. Our elecctricity production in India is prodominanatly from coal which anyway will impact global warming. More over if electricity consumption increases there is high chance unit price also may increase.

Most of the power is generated in India through Thermal / Nuclear power, almost the pollution is same as petrol/diesel combustion. Unless otherwise the power comes from solar / hydro stations, everything is causing pollution. Nuclear power will pollute for 100+ years next generation! This also need be considered in your views!!!
Battery replacement cost is something that needs much consideration. Moreover these high end batteries requires a metal called Cobalt which is limited in global supply. So the price of a new battery might go up more than predicted as of now due to high demand in the future. Due to all the facts discussed in the video it is certainly not a good choice for the budget constrained people.
