Sorry to say this but this interviewer needs to prepare better questions and think about what the "interview" is going to be about. His style may be better suited for "mudhalvan" style interviews and not for "informative discussions / conversations". He keeps sidetracking from the main idea and I notice this in almost every interview of his. All his questions start with "ille .. what about this .. ille .. what about that" and keeps circling round and round. She is a very good speaker / a very knowledgeable doctor and I personally feel she would have been able to add more to the discussion if the interviewer had stopped after just introducing her and asking the very question. To the interviewer: Boss, sorry. No offence intended. Hopefully, you take this as constructive criticism.

Maam, I just recently downloaded this tik tok app. I realised that many girls and boys regardless young or old are getting addicted to this app. Some girls are really taking all the effort to beautify themselves just to seek attention,comments and likes. That same goes to some guys as well. Some girls willing to reveal their glamorous part of their body in tik tok just to get likes and comments. Some really use tik tok to showcase their talent and sharing some social messages.

Psychiatrists are medical doctors who graduate with MBBS or equivalent undergraduate medical doctor degree (eg. MD) and later on with the postgraduate degree in the medical specialty Psychiatry. It takes at least 11 years training to become a psychiatrist. On the other hand, it takes approximately 6 years to become a psychologist after doing an undergraduate degree in Psychology, a non-medical degree. Psychologists are called doctors only if they do a doctorate degree after their postgraduate degree in Psychology. Majority of the psychologists are not doctors. Some are. Highly specialised clinical psychologists may diagnose and treat with limitations (as they lack medical background) in certain countries. All Psychiatrists, on the other hand, are medical doctors who diagnose and treat mental illness with a background medical knowledge. Psychologists deal with clients, do a lot of talking and address behavioural modifications in healing of mental illness. Psychiatrists deal with patients, do less talking compared to psychologists and focus more on diagnosis and treatment of patients in healing of mental illness.

First and foremost one must come to agree the fact that female are born naturally as expressive. Those who have female child they will know. Infact compared to boys who are shy girls at younger age are normally very expressive and bold. For example between kids, one can see female children like to dance, sing, dress up when compared to boys who are less bold to express on the stage. How many times we have seen the crying boy on stage. If you look all the children dance shows or talent shows one can see female children are naturally more expressive. 2nd point is Female kids also seek more attention from parents especially from the Father. This is because compared to the Mother they are attracted to the Father, they see him as a role model the perfect man. Haven’t we heard the analogy that most women look for a husband with qualities like the Father. Again the attention from the male starts here. Also for Father the female child is always the favourite. 3rd point is this child who was care free happy go lucky little girl over the years become a teenage girl and now suddenly told how to dress how to walk or talk and how to behave in front of people especially with men. This definitely have a huge impact to them psychologically. Why this sudden change? They ask themselves What is wrong with me now I have to follow these rules. So these children whose expression which was earlier accepted by the society when she was young suddenly became a taboo. So she starts looking for answers, and here is when she stumble upon the media which provides her information on what is “ideal women should look like, dress up, behave e.t.c “ So the suppressed feelings and Unanswered questions about her own identity is answered by the media. So what is this identity? 4th point: Over the centuries female natural Instinct for attention was heavily suppressed by the society. However over the last few decades, the media played a huge role over the world in sexualising how women should look, dress, role models they should take. In western countries this started in the early 50’s by the advertisement agencies which found that large portion of women could be a pool of untapped clients to sell products. So companies start to pour money to attract women customers and the idea they came was to promote the “ideal women” a man would want. Look at the Netflix series “Mad Men” you will know. However, this media craziness over objectifying women has only started impacting India hugely over the last few decade as more women are now educated, studying and entering to workforce. So the media is very certain to continue to sexualise how women should dress that would attract men so they could sell their product. Look at soap or facial cosmetic advertisements e.t.c. So obviously most indian men since teenage years also see the same media which keeps reiterate the sexualising the women body. So who is this “ideal women” for men? It’s all over the media , Bollywood, Tamil cinema and adult entertainment websites . This include showing women with fair skin, hour glass figure, talk with more feminine tone, shy, timid, always in need for men to save them. In western countries this situation is so bad that teenage girls get breast implants at the age of 16 and parents infact sponsor for the surgery. Why? This is because the teenage gals think that that having them is considered to be ideal women. They can be attractive. So why this happens because music media, fashion Brand’s subconsciously feed to the female mind on how women should dress to attract attention for survival in the society and to be fully accepted as a women. 5the point: Naturally like any other species male and female gender at sexual age would want to show themselves more attractive. This is a nautrual behaviour in the DNA for reproduction of continuity of species. However, in human beings religion and culture has suppressed this behaviour especially for women harshly by controlling how they should behave. So social media like Tick Tok or FB give this opportunity, for them to express. So female find this as an avenue for them to express and come interns with their identify. This is no different than a female child trying to dance and sing and get attention of the parents. Here the suppressed female gender is getting attention from the rest of the people in the social media. I believe there is no ill intent in these Tick Tock or FB but their behaviour is significantly influenced by the overly sexualised exploitation of women by the media. 6th point: So how can we stop this? Question here can we stop a billion youths behaviour? India soon will overtake China in terms of population and also the male to female ration is hugely skewed in india as there are few females to males. So as long media continue to portray women highly sexualised and not giving attention to female intellect as compared to her body this will not stop. Also take note all this tick tock gals are not going to do this when they are 50 years old. So this is just a phase but reducing the sexualised nature of their behaviour in the intent will be a good step forward. Men on the other hand should also not pay close attention to women beauty alone and not make that a yardstick of measurement for their “ideal women” rather they should also be attracted to their intellect. They should show their appreciation for it too. But this does not mean men should be like the older generation of men not showing affection to the partner. Women naturally want to be complimented on their looks. So in a marriage men need to do this as a sign of appreciation to her in a marriage. Giving unnecessary appreciation to female beauty when you just meet a gal online or in person is giving wrong signals to them and it looks very uncharacteristic.
