Today for the 1st time in our life we will attempt to hike a Glacier Mountain. Yes, we will hike the Skaftafell Glacier in Iceland which is the highest Glacier peak in Iceland and in the entire Europe. The Hike last"s about 5 Hours and we will be taking lot of risks to complete this daunting task.
Skaftafell, part of Vatnajökull National Park, is home to stunning outlet glaciers. Skaftafellsjökull. Skaftafellsjökull is an outlet glacier next to Skaftafell mountain, the glacier ice runs down a deep valley from the north part of Öræfajökull glacier the glacier is about 10 km long and about 2 km wide.

That erupted soli has been put on the glacier for Ice melting resistance. due to the soli. the ice melting takes more time to melt. This is because All due to global warming .. Black soil is volcano product. It acts as insulator. It will not allow the glaciers to melt faster by covering the glaciers. Insulation will be created between atmospheric temperature and glacier.

I was always curious about the glaciers, today you guys educated me on this! Always heard due to global warming the glaciers are melting but today saw it. Impactful tiny steps by the Iceland government to save the glaciers. But I just wanted to know if ppl walk on it repeatedly won’t the glaciers melt even more?
