Such a marvelous presentation by Dr. Ignatius Gonsalves. It was so enlightening, educative and interesting that I was glued to the screen from start to finish.It helped clear many doubts that I was harbouring all these years. I have heard my mom sing that song 'Shingili Nane' on several occasions. The song in byla tempo could be of Dutch origin, but is very popular in Sri Lanka. I thought Dr. Gonsalves would briefly touch upon the contributions of the Anglo Indians in the field of music too.

If not already, these historical facts much be published for the benefit of the present and future generations.
