Hi ...thank u for this recipe... i do enjoy Sri lankan food and now I find myself cooking it everyday even though its not my speciality due to the lockdown...made this today and it was delicious....didnt have dry fish so had to make do with dry sprats.. but me being quite the amateur it still came out really well ...thanks again Anoma and to your friends aswell ...stay safe 😊
I always wanted to do this recipe . But it’s really hard to find dry fish here. I’ve finally found katta karawal and wambotu in a Indian grocery shop.I cooked this today’s lunch.it’s so amazingly tasty. Thank you very much! 😘
My friend went to Sri Lanka and brought me some dried fish and l had garden fresh egg plant already ! It came out so good . Thank you for sharing the recipe with us ! I’m From San Francisco 🇺🇸 🇱🇰

Sahathika eththa! Mewa dakala, I started to cook a karawala hodda for lunch, then my husband who is 110% Sri Lankan started to scold that his shirt smells like a karawalaya. I told him worth the smell, put ur sweat pants if u want to be in the kitchen! BTW, I put a cut apple in it and it is out of this world! .
