A special police service was held Friday morning for slain Melvindale police officer Mohamed Said. The service in Dearborn took place before his funeral.

Our son, officer Anthony Hussein Dia, was 26, with 2 sons and 2 brothers, and passed on July 4, 2020. His final words were, "unit 118, tell my family I love them." I hoping in my heart this was an accident 😢 my prayers for his family friends and colleagues especially prayers for his mother❤ I hope they find who did this and bring them to justice he was a hero by just putting on that uniform everyday and putting his life on the line for his community

I hate tyrants, but understand the need for police. This young man doesn't look like a Tyrant. He seemed well respected and liked. he was most likely a beautiful person. God bless him and his family.
