George is a blow hard. Yes, Trump signed the checks, but that is not a crime. Paying hush money is not a crime. The crime alleged by the prosecution is how the payment was recorded in the accounting books. So the prosecution must show that Trump was responsible for fraudulently recording the payments improperly. Trump's CPA already took the fall earlier in the trial, he said he did not consult Trump as to how the payments were recorded and he chose how to record the payments without consulting Trump. This trial is a witch hunt they a searching for a crime. You may not like Trump but the prosecution has not proven a crime.
@@mrjerzheelseveral people have testified that nothing went on at the business that 45 didn't know about. I'd speculate that included how entries were listed in to the business ledger. He'd have to know incase his accountant had questions come tax time.

What did Trump do wrong? The charges are about falsification of business records. Can you point out the area where the intent to falsify the records happened? The accountant testimony refutes any intent to falsify business records. So labeling a check as legal expense is falsification but where is the direct intent to do that?

Incorrect. The basic thing is intent. Was there intent to falsify those checks and records. The accountant testified that their systems were old and only offered a few labels to label checks. The accountant also testified that they recorded and labeled the records based on the invoice which was provided by cohen. So unless you have trump directly telling someone to mis label those checks. This case is a dud.
