A home rented by a suspected identity thief in Northwest Harris County has led to a law enforcement investigation and the recovery of many items possibly connected to other identity theft cases.
Actually it's not broken. This is Houston, a deep blue democrat run city! Democrat run cities designed the justice system that way on purpose. You never hear of republicans calling to de-fund the police or pass legislation for zero cash bail.
They had lots of fraudulent and stolen identification, checks, etc… in the home. Rented that home with fraudulent identification. All of that is definitely against the law.
This is going on everywhere now and when they get caught they get little to no time .This person seems like the plug they might get 2 years probation 🤷🏾♂️
The owner handed law enforcement a mound of evidence , citizen doing their legwork . If they'd heeded him in the first place they could have got the suspect before she flew the coop . Well done to him , well done kprc2 for highlighting this crime , hopefully the police will catch up .
That's crazy. My identity was stolen in the 70s. I didn't find out who it was until the 90s. I ended up changing my name legally. I found out a few years ago my Social Security number was on the dark web. I don't have the money to hire an attorney to help change my number.
I don't think that was the same person. The Everette Point neighborhood never came up and there would be no reason not to show her face if this was the same person they reported on last week.
Have to watch these people who work in the doctors offices, stores, banks and call centers. They are quick to take a picture of IDs and credit cards and grab peoples personal information.
I would say more than likely a result of all the hacking over the internet. Some companies sell your private info. I guess this is a time where the poor financially have nothing left to lose but these people need to be put behind bars for stealing Peoples food money, rent, money for medical bills, peoples life savings. Thieves care for no one but their own greedy selves. I say no mercy on them when justice catches up with them.
Information provided to public is very limiting, just like someone said protecting criminals! Please people beware of anything that seems to good to be true! My friend supposedly won a nice pair of tenny shoes for two dollars on FB, all she had to do was pay two dollars, which she did. She was immediately charged $59.00 to her account, also triggering another charge of $92.00 for something else. She immediately went to her bank and was able to stop it, but be careful when purchasing or winning anything on the computer!!!
@@sblijheid Yeah I was thinking about moving there and squatting in some mega million dollar house in the hills and just working my but off for as long as it last. Then just as a side hustle, buy ish off of Amazon to sell on my account but return an empty box for my purchase to get my money back.
My full name is Le Philip Nguyen & i live at unit 17/ 27-29 York St, Fairfield Syd NSW. Idgaf coz i'm gangsta af. Lol. I laugh if some dudes do rock up at my place for realz now. Lol. Idgaf, i'm on the 4th floor anyways n plus, i can jus put my fridge behind the door n no1 can get thru as it is a very narrow walkway n if i nudge the fridge it blocks the whole hallway, doorway as it is double door, double wide. Even the coppers won't be able to get in if i was raided. Specially if i wad to then put all me other furniture behind it too. Lol.
People who do this have zero remorse and want to live a lavish lifestyle but not put in the work just want it handed to them its never just a regular living its always to buy extravagant things not that it matter either way
Just like traffic stops, cases like this often result in discovery of more criminal activity. Getting fingerprinted may become the norm because of people like her. BTW, police should have worked with the movers to convince the criminal that things were put in a storage unit, then surveilled the unit (with nothing but WiFi cameras in it to catch her face).

Unfortunately we’re going to have to big brother-picture/fingerprint/ facial recognition- thieves of all types are doing mayor damage to real law abiden citizens
People keep saying "the system's broken" and I've been saying the same thing but if this is the case in almost every aspect of life... then it's not just the "system" it's the folks in charge of the system etc. I think the system, the folks in charge of the system, and the criminal users of said system are probably all the same types of people/entities. If the people that ran things companies, agencies, govt, etc weren't led by criminal corrupt bad actors then no way the systems could be so thoroughly perverted and used by other criminal corrupt bad actors.
Realtors are going to have to request fingerprints and to take a photo of the person and check with police database to make sure any arrests or criminal record is not on file
The fact that the law isn't stepping in to prevent it at all. Is gonna lead to angrier mob's taking justice into their own hands. N seriously a community dosent need to resort to that level
😮Its like pulling teeth to get a dispatcher to send a police unit to your location this day and age . Unless a gun or knife is involvded or they need to do a chalk outline the cops will de-prioritise your call to 9-11 as a citizen in dier need of assistance . The system has been broken and fractured to the point that criminals have the upper hand to commit a crime and get away with it !
Just lie and say you think they have a gun. Emphasize that you are not sure, that way you cant get in trouble for lying. It works. Also make sure to highlight if there are children around.
Isnt it illegal for the property owner to sift through the property of the tenant? Even if he evicted her...he cant just go through her personal property. He refused to allow the movers to pick up her stuff..saying 'take it up with law enforcement' (he's basically stealing her stuff)...yet isnt he also breaking the law by not only going through her stuff..but also basically stealing it (preventing the movers from picking it up)? The reporter should have pushed back on the property owner. Two wrongs dont make a right, dude!
While I appreciate the reporting, I was shocked to see reporter and others going thru the evidence WITHOUT any gloves! There are finger prints, etc that can help cops.
People need to be careful taking possession of other peoples things!... Because guess who is in possession of all that incriminating and illegal stuff?.. You are and someone might come asking for you to prove that it is not yours even though you are in possession of it.. Especially if you piss off law enforcement and make them look bad u can quickly find urself on the wrong side of the scenario... Sometimes it might be better to take pictures of it all but be happy to let them take their stuff and get them out and leave it up to law enforcement to do their jobs....
