‘The Trauma of My Mother’s Death Is Not the Story of Her Life’ 

Her mother's death was devastating to her and shocked the world. Everyone showed their support to Jennifer. No doubt God's grace has continued to be with her and kept her going to this day.

Not just her Mom, but the tragic loss of her Mom, brother and nephew all at that same time!! 🙏🏽

For those of us that watched it play out on the news live back then, we felt it too.😢

How I wish Jennifer had her mother present to share the celebration of her success. I'm proud of Jennifer.

When folks share their vulnerability, it makes them more likeable and more relatable, I live in Chicago, the city really rallied around her, may she forever feel comforted by love and support

I can truly relate to this. My Mother was murdered in Detroit, Michigan in 1986. She and her brother were killed in his basement in the early morning. She was such an awesome woman. I take my hat off to you, Momma!!!

Living in Chicago I will always remember how her family passed. It was felt throughout the entire city. I pray God continues to bless and keep her and her sister in his hands 🙌

Mhm thank you for that truth.. My mother was killed in 1978 by our father as they had been estranged for 2 1/2 years.. Even today tears come when I go to the cemetery. I tell my kids “love stories” about my mom so they know her outside of the tragedy..

I so sympathize with you JH!! I lost my mom at 19yrs old. It was not by gun violence but by cancer’s murderous hands. I lost my dad 2 months and 10 days later, that same year. My mother’s heavenly birthday is tomorrow. I’ve had her longer in death, than life. “Oh death, where is thy sting…Oh grave, where is thy victory?” “But THANKS BE TO GOD, who giveth US the victory, through our LORD JESUS CHRIST!” Look for my autobiography “This is MY Story” later on this year.
