Brie Larson, Sigourney Weaver and Gal Gadot present Elton John and Bernie Taupin with the Oscar for Best Original Song for “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” from “Rocketman” at the 92nd Oscars in 2020. #Oscars #EltonJohn #Rocketman
@@scifinerd17 and what do you think about (I'm gonna) love me again winning best original song? that song is so bad and boring, I think it won because Elton John is one of the authors... it's so obvious
I don’t criticize. I’m happy Rocketman won, but it deserved nominations for: Best Picture, Actor (Taron Egerton), Sound, Costume Design, Makeup and also Visual Effects
I don't understand some people saying Oscars suck, just because their favourite weren't nominated or won in some categories, and still rejoicing that it won in a category it deserved... 🤷♂️
Vits Vicente Torres, that’s a good question. I love all five nominees, but maybe I would have removed Leo. I feel awful for saying that, he was brilliant.
@@Watcher4111 well.. I doubt even Elton would do that on a normal day. That's because it *would* be dumb if you were just roaming around the streets wearing that. But it's a big occasion over here. Plus, everyone knows Elton has always been amazing at costumes. So things like these have started to look really well on Elton. In fact, he would look wierd if he were just wearing regular clothes. So yeah, that's why it looks good on Elton. It also kinda goes well with the clothes he's wearing
Elton and Bernie are a class act all the way. It's great that they won Oscars for their original song in this fantastic movie. And Taron Egerton should have been nominated for Best Actor. Come on, Academy. Recognize great talent.
@@preesi1403 not an argument that doesn't matter in any way and he wouldn't have won because phoenix was the best but taron definetly deserved a nomination
Both times Elton won in this category, Randy Newman was one of his competitors. Last time, Elton was nominated for 3 songs from The Lion King, winning for Can You Feel the Love Tonight, and Randy was nominated for Make up your Mind from The Paper.
I tell ya, Bohemian Rhapsody is to blame for the Academy to snub Rocketman across the board. Of course, bloody well deserved for Original Song, but it deserved nominations for Costume Design, Sound Editing/Mixing, Makeup and Hairstyling, but more than anything else, Actor in a Leading Role (Taron). And yet, Rocketman was everything Bohemian wasn’t- a near accurately portrayed biopic with a non-lip-synching performance with heart and emotion from all the cast. It is very sad that it didn’t get near the recognition Bohemian got.... but on the positives a hearty congrats to Elton and Bernie
Rocketman should have got nomination at least for Costume Design and Actor (Taron Egerton truly shone through). There were many stunning pictures, performances in 2019, but it's so underrated...
this kind of makes up for taron egerton getting robbed for best actor. i'd assume the academy ignored him because last year's best actor winner won for playing a gay english rockstar.
The best part about this song is that we basically got a new Elton John song after all these years. Fingers crossed that it becomes an Elton John classic.
Lo impresionante es que ambos lleven 54 años de carrera!!!! Y con la misma calidad con la que empezaron Cuántos músicos y compositores pueden decir lo mismo?? Increíble
I'm glad that Elton and Bernie both won an Oscar. But Taron Egerton deserved to at least be nominated for one. He did an incredible job portraying Elton. Elton John himself even said so. But, again, I'm happy that Elton and Bernie both won something.
Elton already had an Oscar,™ of course, but it's great to see Sir Bernie Taupin get His. all those great, great songs wouldn't have been so great without his words. writers need more spotlight - we seem to forget this stuff has to _come from somewhere,_ first.
1:04 am i the only one mad about the fact that they showed bernie kiss his wife but right when elton was gonna kiss david, they switched to bird's eye view
Original Song of the Year 2020: • I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away - Randy Newman • I’m Gonna Love Me Again - Elton John • I’m Standing With You - Diane Warren • Into the Unknown - Kristen Lopez & Robert Lopez • Stand Up - Cynthia Erivo
No no no... Why did you have to bring in Brie Larson into the comments section? Now all the toxic man babies are gonna come in(and have came in) accusing her of being a man-hater.
*ELTON AND BERNIE DESERVED IT!* They have given me the power to keep smiling and love myself. As a massive die-hard fan of Elton for 26 years, he’s given me joy, inspiration, pure happiness, and incredible music. He’s also the reason why i’m friends with so many celebrities. I can't thank Elton and Bernie enough for everything's they've done for over 55 years. *I ADORE YOU!!! MY LORD AND SAVOIR!!* 😭💕💖❤️🥺🥰🥰
My heart melted when he said "daddy loves you" Being a gay parent, married to my ever loving husband Joseph have proved that kids as long as they have love in their lives they can do anything.
Rocketman is fucking underrated it's such a great movie even for people who don't know much about Elton John. It deserved much more it deserved everything the trashy Bohemian Rhapsody got, Taron deserved his Oscar!!
I love Elton John But Asia speak from my heart, Cynthia's Stand Up deserved it so much more, it has so much more meaning and vocal performance Bbbbut, this is America
