It’s getting harder and harder to take it all in 💔 i appreciate very much what you both do, your humanity, compassion and integrity. I’ve probably said this on here before but I’m a teacher and we have to teach about genocide here in CT (state law). Even as an English teacher it really fell in our laps esp when the program first started. So once I was just an English teacher, teaching grammar and The Scarlet Letter- a nice lens of fiction to interpret our world. Then I learned about the ten stages of genocide, watched the PBS documentary Genocide Worse than War, created research projects for my students so that their oral presentations were on Bosnia, Cambodia, Rwanda, Guatemala. I saw it over and over again. Almost like an expert sadly. In conjunction with Night and The Perils of Indifference. And I took Elie Wiesels message a bout indifference to heart. And then this. This unfathomable cruelty and suffering. The original title of Night was And the World Stayed Silent. Thank you for your continual speaking up. Thank you for bearing witness. I hear you now speaking of the dogpiling. Remember another word for that is bullying. Idk why people are so lacking in compassion and humanity other than it happens every time and it is a part of the human condition. I’ve even reflected back on my catholic raising these days to the seven deadly sins of pride and wrath and greed as a reflection that humans have always had these flaws. But you guys are different. Your anger makes you human. Your anger makes you moral. Good will always matter. So again, I am sorry for this emotional ramble, but thank you 🙏🏻.

I too have been mind-blowingly shocked over and over again at how racist and blatantly racist so many people in the West apparently are, on tv, all over their social media, out in the open in every way. I too have been feeling like I’m going mad the past 8-9 months because of all the constant gaslighting from so many. I just have to say this. After 9/11-I’m in the U.S., I was in college back then-having basically zero background knowledge to work with, I was so confused, for years, because I could never really understand the things I’d hear people say about 9/11, why it happened, and how they’d describe or explain things in West Asia (the Middle East) and North Africa, etc. It was literally only a few months ago that I suddenly realized why I could never understand: I had the epiphany that all of those things people said only make sense if you’re racist / Islamophobic and simply cannot see people in that part of the world as fully and equally human.

I too will count down the days for another session with you two, to shout and dispair and pull at my own hair along with you for what has so far been every opinion you express, every word of incredulous condemnation and condemning incredulity over the gaslighting and over the very acts and facts themselves. Thanks so much for being the voice of so many of us. Does it help? Can it help? In some way, it must... Keep interviewing voices of decency, reason, and truthful knowledge!

If you say "274 Palestinians were killed to rescue 4 Israeli hostages" they'd say "so?" but if you say "274 people were killed to save 4 people" then somehow that's something completely different, somehow. According to the mainstream media, that is. I don't see the difference though.
