“Knob to the Ball” Must understand THE TURN

This is such a difficult thing to teach and honestly, understand. I played growing up and have had 4 ball players of my own who have gone to lessons over the years and this is something I’ve never seen explained, other than just knob to the ball…my kids hear knob to ball and then the back elbow comes in before their hands, if that makes sense. Hey coach I don’t know why I felt the good connexion with your methodology. That is awesome. Not everyone can teach. You have to have passion and love for what you do the rest it will flow by itself. I feel that confidence already. I’v heard and watch some videos about the knob direction but this explanation was easy and understandable. I’m 44 year old and after 20 we get back in a mid time guys league but we are having some problems specially at batting time. Catching I’m pretty decent but hitting I feel like I’m doing it wrong. But we are here in Houston Texas I think i will have to be more than grateful with your videos. Thanks for your help.

I like how you're working through this philosophical difference of a knob first approach and a Teacherman approach. Going knob first helped cure my kid's bat drag and lead to a lot of success. If he's too "pushy" or "handsy" it's hard to get whip and power. So I see "wrist snap" as a possible correction, but extreme. The fix might be: don't bring the hands too far forward and don't squeeze too hard, loose hands could result in more whip/power. Knob coming forward and barrel pivot are pretty much the happening at the same time naturally, right? I guess you emphasize one or the other for feel?

Loving the videos, would you change how you teach hitting when teaching a girl for fast pitch? Ive seen people say its different then you look at the top hitters and they swing just like big leagues.

The actual purpose /intension "Knob to the ball" is to 1. create a lag ?? 2.meet the ball with the sweet spot of the bat ?? I'm right ?? Plz crrt me if m wrong ??
