I remember in the first Vandraven story, I thought "You know, that dark god worshipped by Elizabeth and Matilda sounds an awful lot like Cthulhu..." Then, in this story, the Necronomicon and its author get namedropped...

I have to say, I love how the story about the family changes a little every time...just like real folklore and urban legends, just little minnute changes to the story as time passes, until the original story (which we all know/remember) is lost and legend is what remains.

But if it's something like "at 3:00 if somebody knocks five times stand on your head but if somebody knocks four times open all the cabinet doors" Just why!?? Someone could give me some canonical justification for it it would be better.

@P Cunningham yeah there's 2 or 3 others in the VanDraven story line. Vandraven, the dress makers doll, and I think call from the darkness is the 3rd one. Definitely listen to vandraven, it's very cthulu based

Is this happening to others too? I watch RU-vid on my mobile phone and lately, for example, it will tell me that Mr Creepypasta has uploaded two new videos (for example on this video) and when you click on it appears like a list of two videos but it is the same new video, twice. It just lists the same new video twice.

Woohoo, this is a new experience, not bad at all. Cheers MrC I absolutely love the tie in to the Broken Messiah universe. I have to ask Mr Drake , do they all tie in ? @@daledrakewriter4912 I have! Lol… man these stories are really good. I love MPC’s narration of course (it’s his un punctuated pauses ..I luv em) but the writing is really solid mate. I hope you write enough to maybe publish into a good sized collection or something. But making Lucas stuck in an immortal hell having to constantly satisfy his sons leech-like hunger gave me chills. I almost wrecked my truck haha… cheers!

OK, to address the start of this story: 1. Stealing from people is wrong, regardless of them being rich, middle class or poor. Yes, even if they are, apparently, a prick. 2. Stealing a phone is a VERY big deal. Not only are you stealing something that cost them money, you are stealing their means of communication, their contacts, any money, accounts, etc that are active on it.

To be fair, the narration was most likely more reflective of Harry's morality, rather than the author's. The theft bit, combined with his derailing Johnny's life by getting him into drugs and alcohol, was probably intended to prevent the reader/listener from being overly sympathetic toward Harry. I could be wrong, of course, but that's my take on it.

This was a great story but the Americanisms really pull you out of the story that’s supposed to be set in an English village. I’d recommend having a British friend proof read your story to replace those words (flash light, pissant, welfare cheque and the swearing) or if you don’t have a British friend just ask chat GTP to check it for you 😅
