the Spydercos seem to have disappeared mostly from Wish. Just a few Tenacious that could/maybe/possibly be genuine, taken right outta the Chinese factory even. i was going to get a clone and then do mean and evil things to it in front of people that know me to enjoy my precious Spydercos. Like using it as a prybar, baton with it, whatever i could think of. I settled for a Bugout clone for... get this... $6.28 plus shipping. For that cheap I'm giving them out at Christmas to people i don't necessarily like. 😂 also greetings from Dayton.
Greetings! Thanks for the comment. Interesting that so many Spyderco came off of Wish. However, I would almost guarantee that none of them are authentic. Still decent knives though.
I have a Spyderco Magnitude I got off there and its my new favorite knife honestly.. I bought it for the same reason as OP and when i got it I really could not put it down for the first few days lol. It opens and closed and locks up so so nice, and just the way it feels when you open it up and hear that thick ass click noise is awesome. I used to carry nothing but Kershaw and Gerber and those are for sure great blades, but for whatever reason this one beats them all. I know its probably a fake, but GD its a pretty nice ass fake. I do realize that this isn't the point, and that making fakes of someone else's work to gain profit from is scando as hell, but to me in this moment I like pretending I have a near 600$ blade on me. :D I dont tell anyone else that its real, buy it doesn't matter. If I could get a Fake Katana for crazy cheap that actually was made very well with folded steel and all that, and couldnt really be told apart from a real on, I wouldn't turn my nose up to it. All that said I gotta say if I had a better paying career I would only ever buy the real thing. ;) Not really. 600 bucks is a shit ton to spend on a pocket knife. I would have trouble justifying that to myself, let alone my pretty wifey. ;)
I have trouble spending more than 300 on a gun I wouldnt spend more than 100 on a knife, if that much. Usually(not always) when you're paying that much for something it's just for the brand and their advertising.
My father is a Native American Navy Special Forces cryptologist/code breaker and instructor. Still has a sealed NSA file. He was Bob McNamaras top cryptologist under Kennedy. He's the lead investigator of the Kennedy Assassinations. He absolutely despises the uppity elitist crap about bragging about how much someone spent on something. He buys all his guns & knives at a pawn shop, builds his own guns as a gunsmith, and probably carries a $20 banger in his pocket for a knife. Don't apologize for getting a decent knife inexpensively. I'm going to be buying a lot of clones. Because it ticks off all the right 'MeriKKKuns.
I actually didn't know that this was a thing. I thought I stumbled upon a closeout deal or something, I had no idea they were actually fakes. I was originally under the impression that once it said made in USA, and the type of steel stamped on there that it had to be true, guess I got burned. The knives I received were actually decent they're just not authentic.
Just looked on the Wish app and they have a bunch of “Spyderco” knives on there. However I couldn’t find these exact models anymore. If you’re looking for these particular models, I could sell you mine. Send me a DM in Instagram.
I bought one a few weeks ago and now they seem to be under review I was worried I wouldn't get it and I just got it. Nice knife and looks like a more expensive knife and feels very good.
When I bought them, I just typed in “Spyderco” but when I checked today they don’t appear to be for sale currently. The products change frequently so just check back periodically.
Out of all my real spydercos my knockoff paramilitaries are my favorite at least you don't have to be afraid to use them because they aren't way overpriced like real spydercos are. Now my knockoff benchmade bugout was super easy to make less flimsy and when the Omega springs broke I somehow managed to get benchmade to send free replacement springs and I was honest that it was clone from the beginning
Fuck ya that's cool so do u thank my sog that is coming will at least be a good cloan? And I guess there's no chance it will be real and not a knock off?
It really just goes to show you how cheaply these knives can be replicated when Spyderco is charging pretty much 10x the $ for knives like a Shaman....the only differencd, 2 gram s of premium steel - doesn't cost that much...
