They've been very strict training for 2 years

They are young, but they are still fully trained soldiers who are prepared to defend our Country, our commonwealth and any people who need their assistance. This is why the Tourists should respect them and the Police should protect them from ignorant tourists.

That saying "You know you are getting old when teachers and policemen look like they should be in school" comes to mind!😂

They’re guards, not troopers.

Britain, they are serving in the British Army and not all of them are English.

The horses on duty for one hour. Foot soldiers in the arches are on duty for 2 hours.

Are you a little horse with amazement!

They always go to Holkham beach for a break with their guards and enjoy galloping along the sands and playing in the sea. I live not far from Holkham and used to watch them having fun x

There are youtube clips of them at Holkham beach.

There both Life Guards and Blues and Royals in Edinburgh last week for the presentation of the honours of Scotland to the King. The Troopers and their horses stayed for a few days and we're seen in the sea and on the beach further down the East Coast having excercise and fun.

Is it scent or the natural smell that the horse reacts to I wonder? Always mindful with small children as if aware they are 'babies'? Not so tolerant of teenagers or men??

They enjoy a holiday at Holkham beach with the soldiers, cantering along the wet sand and playing in the sea. I lived near there and used to go to the beach and watch them ( and watching the soldiers in shorts 😊😊)

That is a very nasty thing to say especially from an allegedly ex serviceman. You are what gives old(er) people a bad name. These young men should be applauded for wanting to serve their country. You don't know what they have done previously or what they may be expected to do in the future.

@@MarlynMeehan 95% will never see action it is as simple as that, some of my friends never returned and many returned with amputations, the British army now is ruined and not fit for purpose. I would love to see how fast these kids could de-assemble and reassemble an SA80 assault weapon, in the light and dark, I bet they could order a takeaway quicker.

Bet people said the same thing when you first joined. Looking at pictures of my dad in boot camp, he looked very young. Even when he shipped out to Korea he looked like a kid

@Rayzersharp Man My lad will race you blindfold ..he is a Coldstreamer and we have fMiky in all hhd services. They find your comments offensive. One was injured in Bisnia. Another was in Iraq before SA80were modified. Another has just finished 11yrs in medics...abd dyd several tours in Afghanistan zbd saw sbd treated young lads who lost limbs , theur minds abd or their lives . They all find your comments disgraceful.( can't put whst they actually said). Whether thd newbies will see action or not is irrelevant. As ex ( if you are).you will kniw that every soldier trains to fight abd every one of those lads knows it and are still willing to take the oath of allegiance ..zits a blank cheque with thd ultimate payment is desth in defence if the realm..but being ex you know all that so why your bitter comments
