Jeff Goldblum is an unbelievably happy person these days. He is having the time of his life now, with his lovely wife and kids on the homefront and fun roles ad nauseum . I cannot think of a more deserving person. Hats off to Jeff, and I hope the rest of his life gets ever better.
Ali is the best film interviewer in the business right now - his interviews are always unique - we get great information and tons of anecdotes from the interviewee and they never seem uncomfortable. Ali is always so genuine and he isn't extra - the interviews are always well edited too so props to whoever edits them.
The interviewer spoke my mind about the lunch scene. Thats how you build a credible movie. A conversation with depth. Goldblum’s timing is so realistic in that scene.
i mean i'd like to see that too, and while i'm no expert on anything to do with comics or superheroes, the grandmaster runs a literal slave-combat post-capitalist hellscape, albeit brightly colored. I love goldblum's portrayal, but that character needs to die asap lol
Its embarassing bc im seventeen but I think he is still hot.. Like, i saw him the first time when i was little and thought he was cute and now that i am seventeen and see him old i think he is just as attractive as when he was young..😶😂
@@yaireliz5079 lol, Independence Day 1996. I was 8 and I was in love with him. My mom and everyone else and their mom came back having a crush on Will Smith. I developed a crush on Goldblum that lasts till this day.
That is one person I could listen to all day, also got to be a hell of a drinking bud, what with all those cocktails he is in to. He is like the David Bowie of the acting world (well after David himself RIP) one cool and different guy.
ZArTassaTul The god of the gods among men. There are gods like Morgan Freeman and Samuel L. Jackson, and then there’s Jeff Goldblum, who oversees those gods.
Who are these forty-three people who don't like this interview! (Pound, pound!) They should go watch something about serious, boring acting and leave the rest of us alone! (More pounding... )
they don't make movies like Jurassic Park anymore. A movie that broke completely new ground with special effects, but didn't neglect the importance of having a solid story and memorable characters that are allowed to have their unique and eccentric moments like Jeff Goldblum's many hilarious scenes. And of course that epic chuckle.
So they talk about the "walk" at the end of Independence Day. In truth, Jeff always walks like that. He has walked like that for YEARS! He's got a natural swagger. It is the absolute coolest walk.
I must have been a weird kid because as a kid a was interested as hell anout what they were talking about at the lunch table. I wanted to know which argument was right.
When people impersonate Jeff Goldblum they forget his biggest influence, which is Floyd the Barber on the old Andy Griffith show. Yes when you channel Jeff, you are channeling the great Howard McNair
I'm not really big on fanaticism, but if there's one person I would just love to have a chat with, it'd be Jeff Goldblum. He's just the realest person I've ever seen. There's no pretense.. he is, what he is. I love that.
I remember hearing Jeff Goldblum in a song way back but only now have I decided to check out some interviews. This man is so weird and quirky yet awfully charismatic which makes me wonder why the hell have I not been watching interviews of him...
He should play The Doctor (Doctor Who). He's one of the few American actors that could pull it off. Just watch his speech in Independence Day showing how to defeat the Alien shields... Very much a "Doctor" moment, including when a bullet riccochet nearly kills someone.
Goldblum is amazing and I love that he brought up that Grandmaster and Collector are brothers. I would fucking kill to see them in like a post credits bullshit scene after Avengers 4
The fact that he did the same "faster..must go faster" line in both movies I never really realized until watching this. Lol. I mean I always thought of it at the time watching the individual movies, but it never hit me as it was the same exact line. I always thought the Jurassic Park instance it was way funnier due to the situation he was in.
Can't help but wonder, how many women in the movies during the very first JP, heard that pounding of the table in their heads when that slow, swetty, dark, shirtless scene finally arrived..... ;)
Omg that walk!! I had such a huge crush on Goldblum - till date Independence Day remains among my most favourite movies. Ali - well done. Not seen a better interviewer.
I bet Jeff could talk to anyone, nice or rude, and just hold a conversation all day and forget to go to bed. He seems to find about anything fascinating. He's also the type who won't get all triggered over differences, he's just fascinated to see what people think or do. - Like, you could start about politics, but he'd be like: "Don't you find it interesting that they all wear suits... uh-like... they're all going to a prom, a very boring... one, and uhhh - they should add some more color or or or... some, you know-uh... pizzazz!... Yes."
I had the same as a kid, that the dinner-scene didn't interest me. - But, I never skipped anything, because... I'm still invested and patiently wait for... whatever I do want to see. - Besides, it was on tape, so I didn't bother. Well, I still might not have on DVD. - But I also "got it" later on, because I learned to understand better of course. - I just never asked the question "Why is this scene?". I understood the "depth" of the goings-on of why everything was happening, but some key scenes went over my head. - Of course, I was probably under 10.
my favourite Goldblum line is "would it kill you to pick up the phone!". not profound but exactly what everybody in the audience would have been thinking in Jurassic Park.
Since Rufus will not appear in Bill and Ted's 3 because George Carlin has already passed away, I say they should try and get Jeff Goldblum to play another futuristic guide to help our most bodacious heroes. It'll be a different dynamic, but just interesting and awesome.
I really do hope we see more Grandmaster in future MCU movies. Maybe he'll show up in GotG Vol 3 alongside The Collector. Even if it's just a cameo or a couple scenes it'll be worth it.
