Using that scrubbing sponge to distress looks great (if you like things to look old). I grew up where no one had anything new, so I prefer the new look. However, I can appreciate what you accomplished.

First time I've seen this particular distressing technique and I LOVE IT!! I can do a very light distress with a fan brush but fail miserably going heavier. Definitely will be trying the scrubby sponge.❄️ 100% with you on snow!

I think your yes and deer sign is great the way it is, but in the future if you want to paint a tree, it is really easy. I use a fan brush and just use the edge at the top and end up using the full brush at the bottom. I always start at the top. Practice it. They are really easy.

Terri the Scrubby Distressing is a game changer for me! I love it!! It makes my heart so happy that you are inspired by the diys! That's why I do this ❤️ Zoie was my husband's (our) granddaughter, she was only 13 and passed due to complications from epilepsy in October. I made an ornament for her in one of my Christmas ornament videos and shared her story. Thank you so much for your support,it truly means a lot ❤️

The first DIY was my favorite this week. The distressed look that you gave it really made it pop and brought that effect to the forefront most effectively. The second DIY turned out great as well. Snowmen are always cute since they work well with so many different scenarios. A loss like that is never easy to deal with under any circumstance. Know that this community is with you.

I liked that one, too, Nosugref1967, and especially the distressing. But! I loved the winter snow picture with the deer and the trees. Beautiful! I have some of the same deer and trees left over from another project so I can try that ASAP. I'm not too certain the background looked like a snowstorm blowing in (spent 3 LONG years in Ohio), but it was a beautiful night scene I want to recreate.

Wow! That distressing technique is amazing. It looks like you are taking the paint off and really aging that wood. 👍🏻 Oh yes...I remember Bob Ross. I watched him whenever I could. He would use that big brush and magic happened. His son paints now. Thanks for the memories. I love how the scene came out. Oh yeah.. time just flew. At church last week they mentioned that next Sunday was Christmas Eve... What? Good grief! I still hadn't made my Chex Mix etc. Sheesh! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year..

❄️☃️ I’m sorry for whatever you must have gone through, I’m new here just happened to come upon your channel. I understand in getting up everyday and thanking the Lord for day ahead of me and to guide me on my way for the day, because I have many illnesses that cause me a great deal of pain and I never know if I’m gonna be able to get out of bed from one day to the next along with extreme severe sleep apnea that even though I’m on a Bi-pap machine for sleep my oxygen levels are so low that makes you really take a look and know tomorrow isn’t a grantee. My thoughts are I never tell my girl’s goodbye, without telling them that I love them, rather talking to them on the phone, texting or in person, and for my daughter who still lives at home with me when I tell her goodnight.

Sandra I'm so sorry to hear of your health issues. I thank the Good Lord every day that my husband is still with me after almost dying in February. We tell each other every day I love you, and I'm so blessed to have my Mom down the road. She has health issues as well and I'm so greatful that I have her. All we have is today, so I make sure the people I care about know it. I will pray for you and may God Bless you in the new year 🙏
