If there are two dudes with good info, but one is better at delivering it, then I choose to listen to the nice one. For example, there's a lot of preaching about buying local and such, but if the seller is a nasty mean person, then I do not support them and I shop wherever I like. I'm so glad you're doing well. I also do the same ways for this fertilizer. I usually take the fresh ones because I think the still contain fresh albumen so that the plants can easily absorb the calcium. So many people don't know eggshells usability for gardening so this vid is very informative and helpful for them. Btw I'm sending much love for your grandad. I hope he's doing well.

I've been saving my shells since I started viewing your channel. Grinding them down when I've got a bunch I immediately rinse them with warm to hot water then leave them out in the sun since temperatures get to over 90 degress F here in Texas. Great video.
I love every single on of your vids. You take the mystery out of gardening and have inspired me to start a square foot garden after growing 10 avocardos on my windowsill using your method. Avocardos was the first vid of yours I saw. Why are you not on TV ? You're so much more relatable than Titmarch or Monty Don and, without wanting to sound sexist.You're also ver pleasant on the eye.
Thanks to you I've been inspired to take my gardening a step further and have bought my first greenhouse. Here in NZ it is rainy and sunny and all sorts of crazy weather every single hour it seems to hopefully a good shelter will help me along with propagating my veggies and fruit trees ☺

I start doing this now. Everyday I can get lots of eggshells from the school canteen . I just simply broken those in a bucket with dried leaves and pieces of papers then add with soil. And also I put lots of tea / coffee dregs I collected from the restaurant. I hope its works. I put in the school vegetables garden. My students help water the plants and they are so happy doing these . :)
🐌 Hadn’t thought about crushed eggshells as slug deterrent. I usually “toast” the shells first in the microwave and then grind them with a pestle before mixing them in with some coffee grounds and adding them to the veg plots or plant containers. 🌶🍅
Mahalo for sharing this! I am a new gardner--the pandemic helped me discover that I loved being in my yard! I learned a lot about the use of eggshells and will be using them to deter slugs. Also, I am INTRIGUED to learn more about how to properly prepare eggshells for human consumption, as my mom has a calcium deficiency. Appreciate you!
