Congrats on getting this on the launcher, I'm a returning player who didn't get super far gearing my first time around and found this right on the launcher as I watched the game update, great guide man.
Thank you for your guide! I don't grind often so I'm always way behind with gear and you helped me understand all this gear journey for bdo players. I agree with you, having fun is the most important thing. And your guide is gonna help me with that because now I don't have the stress to find what to get anymore. Have a nice day everyone!
I know you have a lot of comments saying this already but I can't thank you enough for this guide. Really well laid out and informative. I've been playing for a long time but I take very long breaks so gearing has always been awkward for me. This video really helped me understand what I need to be focusing on at each point in the game. Thanks again!
I used garmoth pve damage calculator to get a 16% damage increase at orcs by spending 600m silver on crystals. Problem was that my accuracy was only 85% so getting some accuracy crystals was a huge boost in damage. Don't slack on your crystals guys.
You are the first youtuber who could create a guide that's actually makes sense and understandable for a brand new player. I was about to leave the game before I watched this video, now, I'm upgrading my first tuvala gear. Thank you very much!
I'm a console player, and heck, at 592 I may as well be a Tuvala Timmy. But this video helped a tonne, glad to see my crystal setup is apparently your endgame setup (minus the girin's). Now, if only they'd give us Mountain, because I don't want to wait 2 years for Ator Shoes 😬
I am thinking of returning to this game but i think have to start a new on another server and thx to your video guide step by step and tell us what goal on what phase very helpful tq❤
Speaking of failing slumbering origin raw tapping to duo. I think my dahns gloves are cursed. I failed PRI 21 times in a row and DUO 10 times total. Silver lining is I made a few 120 and 160 stacks
Hey Pansy thanks for the guide, will probably have to watch it a few times as I am brand new to the game and don't know what most of the words you say mean😅. With that said I choose Lahn as my starting character ( I tend to stick with one char in mmo's and master it over time), is Lahn a good char in the game for both grinding and endgame content?
Hey, yeah Lahn is a solid class. I generally recommend picking the class which is most aesthetically pleasing and fun to play. Everything does well now days in grinding
@@imPansy Thank's I've only been playing for a few days and Lahn seems very fun, good aoe's and single target attacks, also she does look kinda hot and got those wide hips haha that's all I'm saying!😆
Quick question since every “gear progression” guide I’ve seen glosses over the narum gear, but I’ve been playing the main story for 2 hours and have hit lvl 21 which I believe is a third of the way through seasonal progression, and I have yet to get a single piece of narum gear
Unless you are one to just never ever ever life skill, probably better to take the life khan for your "free" one, imo. At least for now vells concentrated are sitting on the market so it's just a silver grind. With how they are making garm hearts easier, I imagine they will make getting a vell's easier in the future as well.
I'm both and still won't go for it. Besides the ator shoes that's all i have left to go for but it will never happen. It's simply the worst type of grind cause there's no alternative unlike everything else that you can grind or tap for an somewhat reasonable amount of silver. The cron change sealed the deal for me
Deve's journal is next to impossible on EU, most items have 1k+ orders with the last item being sold a week ago. It also doesn't help that most guides for it are "just buy it from the marketplace".
oh yeah I completely forgot that new accounts start with 500 energy 400 CP a fully established worker empire guru skills full knowledge, actual knowledge of in game mechanics, completely memorized bdo codex database and all the free time in the world to research setup and execute the production of every item required in Deve's journal. My bad.@@keagenforever
Man, u need like 20-30 cp if you want to do all at once.. i still dont know how to build worker empire and u can do these crafts with base workers... just wanted to help but have a nice day lol
Me a dummy, not knowing the value of fail stacks, i used a 80FS and a 150FS to tap my Fallen God with only 2 fails. in my brain i only net lost like 60 memory frags worth of silver. I could not imagine dry buying a Duo Fallen God. 40B? Could not be me. 33:42 Anyways this guide is very helpful I'll be saving this and referring back to it while i progress thank you!
Thanks for the guide, learned a lot. I'm very confused about which PEN boss gear to pick from the free chest from the Magnus questline. I see people saying Red Nose because of fallen god but in this video and in many other places, people are saying Dim Tree. Could anyone explain this for me? It would be much appreciated :)
Hey man, absolutely. So the Dim tree and rednose differ in terms of how many Caphra stones it takes to level it up. Caphras level 10 on RED NOSE takes less caphras stones than on Dim Tree. Generally if you bought these items, you would compare the price on the market and factor in the price of crons. Since the magnus questline gives you a FREE one, you can just pick the rednose as it'll be easier to get to C10 and turn into a Fallen God Armor. Hope this helps!

what if your not a seasonal character? i got into this game while a season was not an option then fell out and i was back and forth with this game as it was overwhelming at the time. well now i got back in for the last 3 months and all i hear is season this and that. finally got to level 61 and im still having some difficulty in trying to figure out if i have the correct gear or not...
You could get started gear from quests and get narchilian gear. Treat it like pen tuvala gear and start the progression guide from post season grumpygreen.cricket/narchillan-gear/
i just returned after 3 years, back then i was full tet blackstars / accesories but i blew it all up cuz i wanted to quit. so now im full tuvala gear only. i really think im not gonna start some of these items your recommanding are like 50b each its gonna take me months of hitting mobs to get there i just wanna pvp man ... :(
Yea right now im having such a hard time getting my shai geared up and also not sure if i want to keep going with shai because fully interested in maegu right now as well so may try that out. Right now im lv 61 shai going with evasion just not sure about best accessories to go with mainly
Definitely tag another class if you’re not happy with your progression pace. Shai shines in group grind and at Dehkia Cyclops. So it take a long while to get to that point. You can always swap back in the future when you’re higher up
Visionary crystal of elkarr wouldn't be better than jin viper's? I mean jin gives all acc +20 and +1 attack/casting speed while visionary gives +20 acc and +10% ignore all res, attack/casting speed isn't useless? with cron meal u will still have +2 attack/casting speed and pen bs main wep give you +3 attack/casting speed so u will have ur max 5 attack/casting speed still and u will gain +20% ignore all res from visionary. Correct me if i'm wrong :P
This didn’t help me at all. It was a lot of words that i didn’t understand. All I know is that I’ve finished the moutain of eternal winter and valencia and im still 150 ap i dt have enough stones to finish upgrading to all my armor to “V” and i cant get more cause i need another naru ring to level up the season and idk where to get it. Where do I even get any of the early game crystals
Just wondering if I'm missing something, at 3:50 you said to start Barrier of Infestation asap and then say that you can do almost everything in Pen Tuvala gear. But in the Elvia realm I am getting clapped with just that gear. I started here first cause you recommended it, but should this be put off or am I doing something wrong?
They share same slot as the rebellious spirit crystal which is better for pve. Rebellious gives 5 ap 5 monster ap and 175 hp. For PvP you can use red spirit crystal
Only in the very high end spots like Dehkia or Tungrad Ruins. PA did mention in their live stream that they will change it so evasion will work on high end spots. We don't know when that'll happen exactly though
Youre probably not responding to this video anymore since its a few weeks old but im a returning player from 2020 and basically feel like i gotta start back from the beginning 😂 I am going to do a seasonal but im guessing the season ends soon? Is it okay to keep playing on one of my old characters until we get the next season to make sure im hitting pen tuvala
Hey! I answer all my comments if I see them :P Season was changed so it'll most likely be endless. Theyll just give us new season passes so we can make new season characters with the caveat that we can only have 1 season character at a time. Worst case it'll end Dec 31st. You can easily hit full pen tuvala before that!
I wouldn't fret about it man. Go at your own pace and have fun, that's most important. The hour counter also counts afk time too so it's not directly indicative of how much you played
crystals arent symmetric, disliked! jk, good guide, im in the mid game range but its nice to see where im going later, and that i did the early portion correctly!
what do i do if i have enchanted my naru weapons to V and did not equip it but i exchanged it for the Tuvala weapons will i not be able to finish the seasonal free pass??? I am new so it would be really helpful if someone could answer.
Why would a new player need a TET blackstar? New player should get full pen Tuvala and finish seasons. After season, you're not a new player anymore, just a player. With full pen Tuvala you can make 500m-1b/hr depending on your skill, class and grind spot so buying a 15b item should be doable just fine.
A lot of places can make good money now. Even Gahaz bandit can net you 600m+ per hour. But you need to be optimized by using level 2 loot scroll, Agris, drop rate buffs and good consumables. So it depends if you're doing that or not. Also certain classes excel at certain spots over others. And lastly, player skill plays a factor. How quickly you dispatch the mobs and move pack to pack etc.@@aces8481
I like how you talk about crystals... But as a new player in early game I really wouldn't advise to invest into them, because what you show is like a few bill's of crystals and you die one you lose 500m... For you it might not be much, but for beginners it's a lot, and I for example never bothered to use crystals, so far I'm all good without them, and to casually have fun it's enough. I don't have to worry if I accidentally die, that I lose like 2 hours of grinding money. Early game just avoid crystals, you absolutely don't need them. The adventure log's have a lot of pain in the ass quests, so don't try too hard, you simply don't need it early game. Even in mid game you are pretty much good without crystals, you can start with adventure log and I feel like close to 280-300AP you can worry all you want about crystals.
Good guide but there's not enough explanation on what things are. A new player wont know half of what you're talking about and will end up googling most of what you're talking about.
@@eftheusempire yeah but if this is supposed to be a guide meant for beginners or mid game you might want to explain a little more. He doesn’t need to explain everything in a ton of detail but there’s too many things he assumes are know.
blackstar or godr isnt something you will ever get at early game lol those both cost hundreds of billions of silver noboddy leaves duos or base up its all tet or pen
@@imPansy no but in all honesty I used to love the game. Just has gotten to a point where it is not worth the time or money to invest anymore and there is truly no guarantee that either won’t be completely wasted as well.
@@al44tec I hear ya man. Im in the same boat. I just play for fun and to kill time. I don't even clock in 5 hours of grind a week. It's just a video game. If it's fun, great! If not, I play something else :P
