if you choose high performance in the control panel then it will overheat even more and if you are on a high end laptop and you are sure that your game lags because of overheating you should put it on balanced instead of high performance but if you are on a low end laptop you should set it to high performance

Definitely works! My cpu used to get to 90 degrees, which meant I had to use the annoying turbo fans. Now it runs around 60 degrees with just the power plan change! 10/10, works!

absolute G, my temps went from 75 to 51. Cpu was over clocking, was at 4.4ghz now at 2.7ghz

Bro it works, but only increments the runtime by a little bit, ultimately after 1 hour the laptop will always reach 90° celcius. Because laptops aren't meant for gaming though, games like GTA San Andreas are ok but heavy games are just a no no. Laptops like Acer Predator x21 can be a true depiction of what a gaming laptop should look like but sincerely it only provides performance upto a level of normal middle-class average gaming PC. So simple solution is open a bank account, start saving or get engaged in an occupation and make some cash which you can invest to build a nice PC 👍.

Mz cpu was always at 94° and gpu 86° when gaming high performance games. And even when doing nothing temps got up to 90°. Your vid helped a LOT. temps are now at much lower level when doing nothing

But if you decrease performance you will not be able to play games.

for anyone that stumbles up on this comment if your laptop if overheating and you dont want to underclock look into setting clock speeds my cpu is 2.2 and boosts to 5 when playing games i set it to boost to 3.7 it uses 90 percent cpu on cod compared to the 100 before and temps are below 90 instead of 95-105

I have a question, when I run a game or program for example genshin, My CPU thermal throttles immediately and the temp goes to 75-99. How do I fix this? There are instances where thermal throttle occurs even in low temps

my processor is 3.8GHz after doing first 2 steps it went from 4.8GHz to 3.38GHz the problem is... even lowering the speed to 3.38GHz my CPU is at 55% utilisation while i`m playing cyberpunk on ultra settings with some few programs and few chrome tabs opened but the temp stays beteween 75 - 85 celsius while the GPU is at 65 celsius... is my CPU done? should i get a new one? idk what to do tbh

And the temp sits at 50 when not gaming but goes upto 85-90 during a game. I have set the max power to 90%. But it didn't fix the issue..... I was already 80 hours into the gameplay on rdr2. Then it suddenly started lagging and overheating 2 weeks back. It didn't lag before😢 could it be an issue with the hard disc. My pc is almost 5 years old..
