Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were developed, marketed, and shipped JUST for me. Sorry all the millions of other people who have this game, it's actually mine. My favorite pokémon not only evolves in this game, but now finally I can shiny hunt for it in my favorite way - as a static terastal spawn. Man this is so cool.

I didn't try this but the closest shiny hunt I had was when I found a shiny iron valiant in the first few seconds of the sandwich. I just walked in the cave and saw it. I had no way of weakening it safely and made the scary decision to run away and save. I didn't know where it went but then, I found it behind me after I swapped pokemon to false swipe it just in case. Congrats on the shiny.

farigiraf is my 2nd favorite pokemon so u getting the stellar tera type girafarig has gotten me a little inspired to hunt the tera rock sandslash (my favorite pokemon) so congrats on gettting the goober!

I didn't care at all about sandslash until the Teal Mask DLC came out, I was just wandering around when I encountered a wild shiny sandslash, I thought it looked so cool how it was red and when it rolled around. I caught it and it had amazing IVs, which I normally never see with a random wild pokemon. Immediately became a staple of my team, I love sandshrew and sandslash now

I’m sad that there isn’t a wild tera Chingling/Chimecho, but in loo of that I will continue hunting for an alpha one in pla so I can move it up and have Qwerty the Former Alpha with the stellar tera. On the side I’m also hunting for Tepig in gen 5. Congrats on two sick shinies!

Austinjohnplays has a video about how to hunt static spawns, but its fairly simple. step 1: knock out the tera pokemon step 2: save your game a decent distance away from where it spawns step 3: close your game step 4: change the date on your switch forward by 3 or more days (i like to do 4 or 5 to be safe) step 5: start resetting

If you’re worried you’re doing something wrong, catch a spiritomb before your reset and check it’s nature. Reset and catch it again. If the nature is different, you’re doing it right and you’re just unlucky. If the nature is the same, try again, maybe it was a fluke. If it’s the same like 3 or 4 times in a row, you’re doing something wrong probably
