With no movement at all id think something with the pump is not working properly. Clogged cooler? Not enough pressure? But these things are tricky and surprisingly each common issue doesn't always have a common fix.

@@myhafh yes switxhing tje 3-2 solinoid showed in this video fixed the issue! Hope it helps.

yep that cleared the code and it seems to be downshifting properly again

All I have yo do is change shift solenoid

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya. I personally love the feel of my shifts with the sonnex pinless accumulators.

Scotties Hobbies jus got done with the job . Still a real bad delay on 1-2 shift . I don’t know what else it could be

@@betosgarage did you clean the shift valves when you did the a and b solenoids? You could have a problem with the band activating.

Scotties Hobbies on those I just swapped them out with ac delcos . Every video I saw they just replaced them

If the key is in the on position and the engine off you should se continuity on both sides. Are you using a power probe?

Scotties Hobbies yeah I’m using a power probe to check continuity. I did get the other side to light up with the key on like you said. However the light is not as bright as the other side when the key is off. Is that still okay or is that a sign of the wiring harness being bad? Also, Thank you for the quick reply and your videos are amazing! Very informative. Lastly I’m working on a 2003 Silverado. I have the P0785 code. The problem was it was shifting very hard from what I think was 1st to 2nd and then it would go into “limp mode” and wouldn’t shift up or down. Would stay in I’m guessing 3rd gear. I checked the solenoid that you pulled in the video and everything checked out with continuity and ohms but I did replace it because I already had it. Trying to figure out what else this could be before I put the pan back on and the problem isn’t fixed. Again, thank you and sorry for the lengthy response!

As long as you see the continuity, you are fine. Don't worry about the key off engine off voltage. Did you check the accumulators?

Or make sure the shift valves move freely in the holes for the shift solenoids.

Scotties Hobbies I tested the A&B solenoids and they both clicked with a 9 volt battery. I took off the 1-2 accumulator and took apart. Nothing seems to be wrong with it. Is there something I need to pay close attention for? Also, is there a possibility that my 3-2 solenoid was dirty inside and was causing the malfunction? It came out clean on the outside but just thinking of all possibilities. Thanks again

Same issue, but both look different, some places show the TCC solenoid instead of 3-2, any idea which one it is?

Possible but it could be a lot of things. Does your speedometer work? Does it show your speed?

@@ScottiesHobbies the speedometer works accordingly all gauges work tachometer obviously raises when you're giving it gas

Everything works accordingly I did have an engine light on for evap but as far as everything else I've yet to try it has all the power in the world it will not go in the second third and drive

@@lanceWM i was thinking maybe your vss might be the issue but if you have a speedometer reading, its not that. You really need to test the shift solenoids. It could be the shift valves in the valve body not moving too. Its really hard to say its this one thing or another. You will get a different opinion every time and that can get expensive. I'd get the ohms of resistance for all solenoids and drop the pan and start testing. You can also use a 9v battery to check the operation of the solenoids.

I told u I would let u know. But the shifting problem was transmission needed to be grounded. So my problem was that was reason for it not shifting correctly
