MY APOLOGIES FOR TAKING FOREVER here is the long awaited start of rigging the body!!
it's kinda long but i just go over very basic things, and of course if you're on the free version this will probably be impossible to do unless you don't have a lot going on for your head/face. next video we will be going over body z with stepping motions/other motions!
aaand there are other techniques i would rather do than the ones i show here, but i feel like they're good for beginners still! i'll do a more advanced body guide another time, but depending on your model you might use a good mix of different techniques! a lot of rigging is just using the same tools in different ways (duh) so it's good to learn how to be flexible :D

chupuko, these tutorials have not only been the best tutorials for using Live2d I've seen, but possibly the best tutorials for anything I've seen. as a programmer I almost feel like I could become an artist if you showed us how. thank you very much for making these.

Chupuko is the finest Live2D Tutorial Teacher for me since she not only explains well, but the approach she uses in that software is simple to grasp. I've seen numerous Live2D video lessons and even worked as a rigger for two years, but nothing compares to how she explains those tricks so clearly. if I can, I'll lift and spin hugging her model just to express my gratitude for this 6 tutorial videos she made. I'm looking forward to your next tutorial.

Rigged my own model thanks to these guides! I was wondering if you could make one on how to set it up in Vtube studio? I set mine up almost the same as yours but for some reason my hair physics dont work when i move my head and I think its because i didnt set it up right in vtube studio. Thanks again for making these amazing videos! I am a vtuber thanks to you :)

These are such great tutorials! My model is almost done, thanks to you! I guess, like someone else in the comments said, I would just use a rotation deformer for body z? I guess I still include my head in that one, even though it already has its own Z? But to be fair, your model doesn't look like it would need a body Z. But isn't there also this kind of leaning forwards and backwards effect?? What I am also wondering now, since it is almost done, is how to export it and import it into vtube studio. I am at that stage where I would like to test the tracking and I am not sure if there is anything to keep in mind when I import it.

Hi Chupuko!! I'm just a bit stuck and was wondering, I'm getting a message about there being no 'corresponding art mesh' for the reflected components from the eye tut when I try generate a texture atlas for them - does this matter/would you know how to fix? Thank you so much for the amazing tutorials!!!
@lunareclipse3844
@lunareclipse3844 Год назад
For Z, all you need is the torso and the arms (maybe head depends) to rotate with the rotation deformer (She probably already said that 😢)

@Mara_1337

Actually, I am still a bit confused about the Body X vs Body X Physics. I guess I rigged my body turns onto the default Body X parameter and it automatically moved in the physics settings when I turned Angle X. (even though I actually didn't put the Body X parameter into the output) Are you making the extra Body X Physics parameter, so you can change the body bounce settings independently of the Angle X that influences the head turns? Is the default Body X just left blank then?
@djedsystem
@djedsystem 10 месяцев назад
So I’m curious and I haven’t seen it really explained in any of your tutorials, but I’ve noticed that rigging in the tutorials happen on physics parameters. Any reason to not rig straight onto the base parameters? I’m sorry if this was explained in another video, but I didn’t catch it so I wanted clarification on that. I’m watching these videos to get some more insight on how to make high quality rigs and easier methods to do things and to help get out of snags I’ve run into while rigging. Thank you for all your wonderful tutorials, they help a lot.
@chupuko
@chupuko 10 месяцев назад
i talked about it slightly in my angle xyz video when i made the physics parameters i think, but basically putting them to physics parameters makes the model more bouncy and "lively" rather than straight to the defaults, which would make the movement more static. it's up to personal preference but from what i see right now most people like bouncier rigs more and it's usually sought after! let me know if you need more clarification though
@djedsystem
@djedsystem 10 месяцев назад
Thank you so much this explains it perfectly! I appreciate it a lot. I'm glad I just missed it. I can definitely see what you mean by bouncy.

Hewwo :) Anyone else having an issue of VTS not picking up the new physics x/y trackers as output? Let me rephrase: It's picking them up via regular X/Y, but they're not displaying the full range, only a tiny movement. Edit nevermind, i'm dum :) Increase Scale in physics.
