He rolled 4 times, first one was an instant 1 Second was a 1 on the second throw Third was another instant 1 About a 1 in 4000. Still just as beautiful.
The only thing that could have made it better is if molly got a nat 20 I mean he got a 19 which is pretty good but it would be even more funny if he had
At 0:54 I see the grid and I KNOW it's just for perspective purpose and not necessarily to scale, but every fiber of my being is saying "That's four squares, that's 20 feet, that's too far." CURSE YOU, FIVE FOOT SQUARE! I AM TAINTED BY TACTICAL COMBAT RULES!
I like how their original plan was to hold fjord up so he could throw easier, then they abandoned that to just throw fjord without even telling him about the new plan
Really hope we get a second part now with Mollymauk, Jester, and Yasha cause that would be the greatest. This was really good, the timing was super well done and your art style is super sweet and simple :D
God Fjord is I think my favorite M9 character because in combat he pulls off wicked moves like (SPOILERS) charming the Laughing Hand, but out of combat he can't seem to do anything right. He's like a deus ex machina.
Crouching Moron Hidden Badass is the name of a trope that describes a character that is generally depicted as a fool or useless but has moments of immensely impressive displays of prowess.
That is kinda Scanlan's whole shtick in Campaign 1. He depicts himself as comic relief you are usually laughing at but actually has so many insanely badass and plot saving moments.
YO HOLD UP IS THAT TAAKO, MAGNUS, AND MERLE IN THE LAST SHOT (This was amazing, by the way. I love how you draw Yasha and the world space looks simply amazing)
Ooohhhhh I always missed the context because I usually have to do some light work when I watch I always thought they were helping some dude fill a fact with sandbags Or was that also a thing (where fjord had 3 Nat1 in row)
I think I did too, but then in retrospect how would a kid ever have done it at all? They kind of have to be smaller bags, especially since the basket is a foot across. Ah, the imagination. What a wild ride it can be.
@@JoshTheValiant Right, but remember they did hold the kid up at a much closer distance (probably like 4 or 5 feet away), and I don't think the bags were heavy either since it wasn't a strength check that was used for tossing them. Plus, the "heave" description Matt used for Fjord's second throw, which he pantomimed with using two hands lifting something from the bottom that seemed to have decent width, I think further implies the larger grain-sack idea. That's all just things that I think kinda codify that picture in my head though -- none of this is to argue for a "right" interpretation.
Thank god Travis got triple nat 1s during this and not during something crucial. I don't want to think about what would've happened if the triple 1s was during episode 40 or 69.
