Chicken Nanban
Hello everyone.
I’ll make Japanese popular chicken dish “Chicken Nanban”.
It has sweet & sour flavor, refreshing taste, and very delicious !
I use chicken breast. Let’s cook together !!
Ingredients
・500g chicken breast
・A little salt and pepper
Batter
・1 egg
・30cc water
・50g flour
・Appropriate potato starch
・Oil for deep fry
Tartar sauce
・50g onion
・1 egg
・30g pickles
・50g mayonnaise
Sweet and sour sauce
・60cc water
・30cc soy sauce
・30cc vinegar
・30g sugar
・5g potato starch + 10cc water
Recipe
・First , make 2 type of sauce.
・Make tartar sause.
Chop the onion.
Boil the egg about 10 minutes, then peel and mash.
Add the pickles, chopped onion, and mayonnaise, mix well.
・Make sweet and sour sauce.
Water, sugar, soy sauce, and vinegar , into the pot , and boil.
Potato starch and water, mix well, add them into the pot. Mix well.
・Next, make crispy chicken.
Remove the chicken skin.
Cut the chicken breast diagonally into 1.5cm width.
Sprinkle salt and pepper.
・Make the batter. Crack the egg , and mix well.
Add water, and mix.
Add flour, and mix well.
・Coat the chicken in batter, and dust with potato starch.
・Deep fry in oil 180°c (356 °F) about 4~5 minutes.
・Serve on a plate.
Put sweet and sour sauce on the crispy chicken.
Put tartar sauce on top.
