Askari seems like a cool girl to hang with! She lives a very simple and yet full life. Works out, learning English on her own and having her place so cute. 🥰
06:15 Additive free artificially made plastic! Now for those not living in group homes or below the age of 7 lets think about this claim! 🤦♂🤣 Asian likes noodle? Well thats a surprise! NOT!
Excuse me, but how cool is Akari? being a self-defence air hostess, a saleswoman and saving to go on a trip to Australia. we are same age and she could easily be my role model. also loving her burrito make up kit. she is so pretty!!! I hope her trip in Australia goes well! thank you for posting more often!
@@MrEvansjethro Because a thirty-something woman cannot independently relocate internationally for the experience or personal growth without the objective of a relationship?
Thank you all for the comments. Happy to see some of you for the 1st time, and big thanks to those who give us warm comments to each video! We really really appreciate! Apology for not being able to reply to all. But...we are read all the comments! Akari left for Australia. You can check out what her life in Australia is like on her Instagram! Hope to see you all again soon!
I'm so happy I found this channel! I really enjoy seeing how people on the other side of the glob live. Akari seems like a cool person, I also love Lady Gaga :D Here are some ideas I would like to see in the next videos: - Day in a life of a worker in a clothing store in Harajuku - Day in a life of a worker in a second hand store - Room Tour of a traditional Japanese house - Day in a life of a mangaka - Day in a life of a Japanese family + room tour!
I love all these "day in the life of" videos on RU-vid, but this one took it to another level with all the info and details, down to the pricing. Very informative but also very entertaining.
Now, that is one cool woman...and from one woman to another she has style and beauty! I really loved watching Akari and I hope she'll be future videos of yours, Ken and Erica!!
What I love about living here in Tokyo is although Tokyo is a big city, the cost of living in here is very affordable. Infact, it's even cheaper than my hometown ( Geneva ).
Tokyo is expensive by many standards. But Geneva and Switzerland wise is another level from what I heard. I think living cost in Tokyo is much more reasonable than say before the property bubble time
@@TroyTian I actually have always thought it is pretty cheap to be honest and I'm from Scotland. You can live very cheaply in Japan in general if youa re wise about it; trains are also pretty cheap.
There is no way that electric bill is just 1,500 yen. The basic meter rent is about 800 yen. then you use multiple appliances. depending on your usage, the electric bill will cost somewhere between 3,000 yen to 6,000 yen in kanto region. Also, the rent for the house depends on a lot of things but this house is little cheap for being in tokyo. Rent for 1 room apartment in tokyo region may sometimes cost over 75,000 yen.
I'm around her age, and it's amazing how independent she is. In Singapore, the atrocious housing prices doesn't allow for singles to thrive.. Let alone having family and kids, and your budget can easily be stretched to its limits.

Australian: Australia 🥰Japan, yet we don't speak enough Japanese. I hope Australia and Japan get closer and closer, until many Australians learn Japanese. Good luck on your holiday Akari. Its been very wet here, so... Everything will be very green!
Hi! If you want some advise about fish keeping please do not hesitate to ask :D. I know japanese houses are small but even if they sell small aquariums, it doesn't mean it's OK to put your fish in there. Most pet shop don't know how to properly care for the animals they sell unfortunately. I'll gladly help!
I thought that my country lives in poverty until I looked at the lives of some other countries and realized that the grass is greener here. Good video !
West Capitalist way of living is pretty much the same everywhere in the world apart form some quirks from each cultures, my routine is identical even though am from west europe. I also use smartphone alarm, brush teeth, and eat oatmeal sometimes in the morning. Even our incomes and expenses are identical! And she goes to IKEA omg.
I too love her discipline and I share with her independence. ❤️ Interesting day vlog......but.....I can't get over the Tortilla make up pouch! Whaaaaaaat? 😎😎👍
Rental is super cheap compared to a space like that in singapore but im surprised the salary for a sale staff is really low for a developed country Japan. Anywy a good video. Cheers
05:35 - During my time in Japan, I went to Gyomu Super Tsurumi (業務スーパー 鶴見店) many, many times. A good variety of nicely priced products. They also had imported items which gave you a chance to try something unusual. I bought Sardine Pâté from there and it was not bad.
Yes, but with the weak yen now, prices are going up. I went to Gyomu Super today and prices were noticably higher. Mozzarella cheese that was 468 yen just two weeks ago was 648 yen!
@@earlysda Yeah, the exchange rate can put a damper on things. Great for tourists and expats on dollar based compensation packages but for those on the local economy, it sucks.
@@HallOfFantasy Hall, Exactly! I saw a vid the other day of some American-Japanese couple moving from San Fran to Japan, and they were going to be able to keep their jobs in America and of course get paid in usd there, while living in Japan. Sweet deal if you can get it.
$10 in electricity a month! While in the UK we're busy paying around £50- £70/month just to keep the lights on. And rent for $450!!! In Edinburgh you can't find a studio apartment for under £800. Why more people aren't protesting about cost of living in Europe, I don't know.
10$ electric.. Impossible to get it that cheap in the USA, hard with even efficiency products. She must be in a rural area, where its cheap.. Rural areas in the USA are cheap too for rent, except for utilities, food, and other things.
@@koilamaoh4238 she lives in Takichawa small city with 200k people, 1hour by train/car to Tokyo. Its was told at the begining, for me it doesnt look like some village
I was just texting my man her utility costs and rent cuz i couldnt believe it! Our electric bill having not even used heating to try and cut costs for winter was $150. Summer time is shoots up to $300+. I can't imagine living someplace that cheap with utility costs that low including rent! 😫
I can't get enough of these videos! I've always been fascinated by all things Japanese. All the people seem so healthy and happy. That's a country that knows how to live!
It is true the average Japanese makes very little. That said, the cost of everything is much lower than in the USA if you don't have to drive everywhere. In places like Okinawa with little public transportation it makes the minimum cost of living much higher with their high vehicle inspection and registration taxes.
What, her electric bill is 1.500 ien? In the summer, because of the air conditioner, our bill is around 16.000 per month (2 people, me and my wife). Other months is about 9.000 ien. She never stays home and probably, don't use many electric stuff. To be fair, we have 3 computers here at home (which one stays on 24/7), our oven is electric, and we cook frequently. But still... it's 6x her bill n the best case scenario.
Yeeeeezzzz…:👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 what a wonderful daily life🤩🤩 I live by myself since more than 1 year, only 1 day off but this mini video got me inspired and motivated to not give up👊🏻 I’m from Mexico and the burrito and salsa tabasco was just amazing!!!!🇲🇽❤️🇯🇵 I am planning to go to study to Japan and this opened my mind regarding the montlhy expenses for daily life. The septum piercing looks good on her! Hope she's keeping a cleaning regime for it though so it doesn't get infected. The first month is super crucial and important when it comes to keeping it clean.
East Asian culture is suffering the same as in the west from the diminishing and decline of families. This young woman is a good example of how single women in Japan end up, with no families of their own. When the family unit breaks down, so does the nation. When there are NO more family units, a nation is already in it’s death throw. Thank you central bankers and their new world order.
@@スカイハイ-q9e Your video was a very good example of the way women’s lives are being lived in Japan, utterly alone. You provided the facts. My “opinion” is shared by millions who believe the traditional family unit is at risk, and Japan’s population is drastically declining, which brings many social and economic problems. Productivity is dropping as a result, and Japan’s central bank continues to print more money. Of course this young woman has the freedom to live her life as she chooses. Japan’s low birth rate, at 1.3 per woman, threatens centuries old traditions and skills. This channel is about Japan, I was looking at the bigger picture. I respect and admire Japanese culture and nation. My opinion was in no way to belittle this woman or Japan. 🇯🇵👀👍🏻
@@generalnguyenngocloan1700 About all the comments a read so far on this video, you're the only one who mentioned the reality of today's Japan young society. Let's stay together as a family and keep it real. 🙏
The rental really took a BIG part from her salary.I use to rent a room USD 100 per month when i was having salary USD 2000 until i got raise to USD 4000 i finally bought a house.
I grew up in Japan, but I dont remember electricity being that ridiculously cheap? Maybe Ive lived in Australia for too long. My average electricity bill in AU is about $500 a month in summer and winter.
......Damn Toyko is so much cheaper than Dublin......that same apartment would be around 900-1200 euro a month depending where it was in the city center.....monthly electricity would be more like 150-200euro, same with gas, water will depend on usage.......minimon wage here is 10euro an hour.
Great. water is a bit expensive relative to electricity actually. i live in different asia country alone and electricity bill is about the same but water is just about 1/4 or 1/5 around 2 usd.
I love video like this, thx for sharing! Staying single is the best in this difficult time. I went to Japan 12 times and travel all around, I don’t understand why so many beautiful women are living alone and don’t have a boy friend🤔Amazing and beautiful country, very kind and polite people well educated🙏🙏❤️🇯🇵
Younger generation are not interested in intimate relationships or having kids. Some Japanese men think relationships are a hassle and some women don't want to give up career. Typically if a Japanese woman is with a man, sometimes employers refuse to hire them because there's concern they will get pregnant and leave the company. At least that's what I've heard and watched on RU-vid
