Still not practical in Malaysia. Most consumer won't care much about "Green Marketing". Consumer mostly care about are cost saving and time consumption which is the main challenges of EV. 1. Car might be cheaper now (less tax) but battery capacity will keep dropping year by year. 2. Refueling cost not much difference as Malaysia's petrol price considers very cheap than other big EV countries eg. US n China. 3. Refueling time >20mins vs 5 mins. Last point might be my personal preference, I prefer "Vroom Vroom" more than driving car sounds like LRT as my personal driving experience
Most people buying an EV will likely use it for city drive and school run, only occasionally go for outstation trip. Most of these EV owners will likely still keep their ICE car(s)to run around longer trip particularly for balik kampung. The high price of EV today and the costly battery (it will eventually need to be replaced) still the major set-back at the moment.
Hard for Malaysia due to petrol is relatively cheap and if you gonna have multiple EV in your house like most Malaysian do for their petrol car isnt there a quota for how much electric you can use till they charge a different rate for household?
还有一个我大不想买纯电动车EV的原因是保值率太烂了,比hybrid的更糟,可能电动车类似买电视机或3C产品。我中国的朋友去年刚卖了他的纯电动车,才用4年多而已,折损超过80%,而且那时买时还不便宜。一般电动车如果过了保固期更难卖,几乎是废铁价。因为换电池费用太高。我们大马路上还有存在一大堆老车,连20-30年的老wira,kancil,kenari都有人驾, 问题是纯电动车的寿命能顶20年吗。那些10年的日本二手车还很多人去买,10年的纯电EV应该没人敢买。个人觉得EV不适合那些贷款要供车9年的,因为跌价太快了,如果买150-200千的EV你驾5年要卖掉肯定要倒贴银行几万。我问了几个中国朋友,其实还有很多中国人也不要卖纯电的。我个人还是比较接受hybrid如plug in hybrid,我打算下一辆车找hybrid的,有些hybrid已经很省油了。我也不喜欢规划旅程,周末还喜欢去很远的马来乡村或郊区,有里程焦虑。还要管理好充电习惯,不然电池耗损比较快,最好是20%充到80%,导致有效旅程更短。
I think car like BYD atto 3 uses lithium iron phosphate Blade battery which can charge to 100% without much battery degradation. So maybe different car also charges differently now.
Based on the comment by netizens, I think hydrogen fuel cell is better for netizens because of refueling time not as long as EV But then infrastructure of hydrogen is non existence at this point of time haha
本地人對BEV興致缺缺的原因之一就是油電價格差不吸引人,尤其是我們汽油RON95和柴油有津貼的情況下,差異不是很大 (如果用家用電充電來比較的話還是比有津貼汽油還便宜一些的) 如果汽油津貼取消後,那個價格差BEV的優勢才會很有感 還有那些很常開長途的人來說目前還是ICE和混動比較有優勢 國家政策,基礎建設等等都是推動BEV的關鍵的,better late than never.
