@@peterwong9138 It has nothing to do with political correctness. By speaking Mandarin, a wider audience can understand him, hence he has a higher viewing figure. If he only speaks local dialect, then the viewing figure would be much lower. What's more, a good educational cookery video like this should benefit more people rather than fewer. In fact, that's the whole reason why Mandarin are taught at school in China, but local dialects are still being spoken at home and among family and friends. So that people across whole of China (which is a the same size of mainland Europe) can easily communicate with each other either for work or leisure... It's really not that hard to understand unless you deliberately avoid the obvious.
