It had already been made pretty clear as well, with regards to his reaction to Terriermon, that Takato is something of a fanboy! You see it in the Xros Wars finalé, his reaction at fighting alongside his heroes in their prime! I'd probably be the same if I were to get a role in the next Sonic movie, Sonic for the Master System being the first game I ever played back in 1991 and having grown up on old Godzilla and Jim Carrey movies!
